The holiday season has arrived, and amidst the flurry of festive activities, it’s easy to feel a bit overwhelmed with choices.
But fear not! To simplify your December plans, and to guarantee a memorable time for the whole family, we’ve made a list of 10 ways to celebrate Christmas in Wirral.
Christmas Tree Forest, Church Farm, Thurstaston
If you haven’t already chosen your tree, then make a date at Church Farm.
The team there believe that choosing your Christmas tree should be a fun, easy and memorable experience, so they let you pick your tree from the forest and see it cut fresh right in front of you.
Church Farm has more than 16,000 growing Christmas trees of all different shapes, sizes and varieties, so hopefully you’ll find the tree that’s right for you. You can read more about the different varieties here.
So measure your space and head to Church Farm. You can visit the forest and pick your tree from Wednesday to Sunday until 17th December.

West Kirby Christmas Market
Looking for something unique and authentic? Look no further than The Hand Crafted Market in St Andrew’s Church Hall.
The craft market will be full of high-quality, handmade products. Whether you’re looking for a gift or something special for yourself, there will be more than 20 stalls and the chance to meet the crafters and have a coffee while you shop.
The market will take pace on 9th December, Graham Road, 10am-3pm. Free entry.
The Good Market, Claremont Farm
The Good Market will be upstairs at Claremont Farm this weekend with an impressive line up of independent businesses for you to do some stylish shopping.
Gifts on sale will include candles, home wear, jewellery and much more.
The Good Market is at Claremont Farm, Old Clatterbridge Road, Bebington, on 9th and 10th December from 11am-4pm.

Christmas at Maggie’s Wirral
Celebrate the start of the Christmas festivities at Maggie’s. Tickets include a delicious mince pie, mulled wine and other hots drinks. There will be entertainment from the incredible PopVox choir.
The evening will start at 6:30pm and will finish around 8:30pm.
Maggie’s is a centre to support people with cancer and their loved ones and this is a lovely way to show your support for the work they do.
Christmas at Maggie’s is on Wednesday, 13th December, in the grounds of Clatterbridge Hospital.
Adult Tickets (16+) cost ÂŁ10, children ÂŁ4 and children under three: free.

Wildcrafting & Wine: Yule Wreath Making Workshop, Nettle, Birkenhead
Join Olga and Jen for a magical evening making your own natural wreath from foraged greenery, while learning about the folklore and symbolism of our evergreen plant friends.
Relax, enjoy a glass of organic wine and enjoy two and a half hours of therapeutic time for yourself as you create.
Olga will even tap into her Scandi roots and there will be twig stars to decorate your creation.
The workshop takes place on Thursday 14th December, from 6.30-9pm at Nettle, Make, 2 Hamilton Square, Birkenhead.

The Christmas Music Quiz, Future Yard, Birkenhead
Get festive with a test of wits, music trivia and bad jokes with this popular seasonal quiz.
All proceeds from the night will be split between two charities – MIND and The Whitechapel Centre. MIND is a mental health charity that has been running since the 1960s, providing advice and support to people across the UK who may be experiencing a mental health problem. The Whitechapel Centre is the leading homeless and housing charity for the Merseyside region, working tirelessly with people who are sleeping rough or living in hostels to give them the support they need.
There are plenty of ways to win on the night, with a variety of prizes to be won. But by simply attending you are supporting the great work of these two charities.
There will be mince pies and Punk Rock Bingo. Festive knitwear is encouraged.
The Christmas Quiz at Future Yard, 72 Argyle Street, Birkenhead, will take place on 20th December. Doors at 7pm, quiz starts promptly at 7.30pm. Tickets cost ÂŁ5.60 for one, and there are different packages for your table size. Secure you seat for the quiz here.
Festive Feast at The Farm, Brimstage Farm
Celebrate Christmas at the farm with friends, colleagues, and family. Festive Feast at the Farm takes place in the farm’s stunning tipis – think ski lodge meets winter wonderland.

Mosh Tots Christmas Celebration, Future Yard Birkenhead
The Mosh Tots Band are thrilled to announce a special Christmas Party at Future Yard.
The Christmas special is a longer event, with lots of exciting activities planned like Rudolph’s Present Hunt, a full set of Elves’ Christmas Crafts to get involved with, and a Festive screen print Workshop.
The kids are encouraged to come dressed in their most festive outfits.

Treat the little ones to some Christmas stories and crafts with this fun event at Heswall Library.
Suitable for children under five. Children should be accompanied by an adult.
