So raise a glass and say ‘cheers’ to all these pubs who’ll be keeping their doors open to offer you a warm Christmas welcome on December 25 …
Just a five-minute walk from the stadium, the popular Anfield Road pub is serving between noon and 4pm – so you might want to set Her Majesty to record if you plan on staying till closing time.
Nothing frosty about the welcome waiting for you at The Thomas Frost in Walton Road, it’ll be a warm one from the team at the JD Wetherspoon hostelry. They’ll be serving drinks from 11am to 3pm and, good tidings!, they’ve got loads of offers which are still on on Christmas Day including a bottle of Becks for 99p, a bottle of wine at £6.99, and a Bells whisky and mixer for 99p.
They’ll be serving meals to all those who have booked, BUT they are still offering seasons greetings to those who fancy a festive drink between 12 noon and 5pm.
Time to rejoice! The Sizzling Pubs venue in Roby Road – just a stone’s throw from Bowring Park, Knotty Ash and Tarbock Road – is serving drinks from 12 noon to 5pm.
Delivering a first-class pint or a spot-on red, the Old Post Office Place pub in Liverpool 1 is open between 10am and 1pm.
The popular Smithdown Road hostelry will be wishing customers a Merry Christmas when they open between 12 noon and 10.30pm. Plenty of time for Yuletide hospitality.
Jolly – and joyous as ever – the well-known pub on the corner of Mill Lane and Queens Drive will be open on December 25. It’s mainly for food – booking only – but there will be limited space for those who just want to have a drink and that’ll be between 11am and 5pm.
This traditional craft-ales pub in Lark Lane, Aigburth, will be taking the towels off the pumps and serving drinks to its Christmas customers between 12-3pm.
Ever ready to guide you to a great pint or a G&T, or whatever you wish to celebrate Christmas Day with, the Old Swan pub in Queens Drive is open for drinks between 11am and 3pm.
No need to make a charge for it, the Gateacre Brow inn will be open from 12pm to 5pm, so you’ll have no problems raising a toast to you and yours on the big day.
Known simply as The Jug by the locals, this heart of Heswall pub (behind the village hall and library) is open for liquid refreshment between 12 noon and 3pm.
There’s many a Christmas bevvy been had in here and this year is no exception. The Aigburth Road pub will be welcoming customers between 12 noon and 3pm.
Always in tune with the needs of its clientele, this great Hope Street venue and its staff will be greeting people with a smile and serving drinks between 11am and 5.30pm.
This lovely country pub in Barnston Road is open between 12 noon and 3pm to raise a glass to Christmas.
The Back Sea View Hostelry, renowned for its great selection of beers and warm atmosphere, is open between 12 noon and 3pm and, after they’ve had their turkey and Brussels sprouts, re-opening its doors from 7pm until ‘later’.
It’s fully booked for food but the Moor Lane favourite in Crosby is still issuing an invitation to join them for drinks between 12 noon and 5pm.
Food bookings are full here too, but the Gateacre Brow boozer is still open for drinks between 12 noon-2.30pm.
