6 Celeb Chefs you’ll see at the Liverpool Food and Drink Festival 2017

We’re gearing up to pick up some top tips from the pro chefs heading to Sefton Park this weekend.
Liverpool Food & Drink and Festival is more than just eating delicious food! With a wealth of top chefs making a beeline for Merseyside this weekend we’re hoping to pick up some top tips, some Instagram worthy selfies and maybe a new cookery book or two….as well as sample their Michelin-stared, top quality dishes!
Here’s 6 celeb chefs you can see at Liverpool Food & Drink Festival 2017 this weekend….
1 – Gizzi Erskine
LFDF have chosen none other than celeb chef Gizzi Erskine to host its first ever launch event on Friday evening, Beauty and the Feast. Famous for her love of food, hosting Channel 4 series ‘Cook Yourself Thin’ and ‘Cookery School’ as well as her wicked style, Gizzi will be bringing an air of glamour to the 10th Anniversary celebrations. 2 – Hairy Bikers
No stranger to hopping on their bikes to sample world cuisine, the Hairy Bikers, Si Hall and Dave Myers will be roaring into Sefton Park on Saturday to cook up a storm. Having launched their most recent book, ‘The Hairy Dieters Go Veggie’, Si and Dave will be showing you how to create some of their favourite dishes, as well as signing copies of the book and having a natter in a live Q&A with our Jay Hynd too. 3 – Simon Rimmer
Sunday Brunch presenter and Wirral-born chef, Simon Rimmer is bringing some mates along to Liverpool Food & Drink Festival. Nisha Katona of Mowgli, Paul Askew of The Art School and Aiden Byrne of Manchester House will join Simon to talk favourite recipes, traditional cooking and of course show you how its done. 4 – Nisha Katona
The Queen of Indian Street Food, Nisha Katona will be joining Simon Rimmer on Saturday to chat about Mowgli, her favourite dishes and hopefully show visitors how to recreate some of the dishes we’ve become obsessed with here on Merseyside. Nisha, a regular on ITV’s Lorraine, is also a successful author and has inspired a whole new wave of Indian Street food fans. Get your tickets and see her live on Saturday here.
5 – Gary Usher
Chef Gary Usher is absolutely flying with his north west based restaurants including Sticky Walnut in Cheshire and most recently WreckFish, right here in Liverpool. With a stellar reputation for turning out exquisite plates of food that delight diners, while juggling social media accounts, having a laugh with his teams and continually growing his brand, he’s somehow managing to find time to perform a number of demo’s at LFDF 2017 on Sunday. 6 – Anton Piotrowski
Former winner of BBC’s MasterChef: The Professionals and owner of Kickstarter restaurant campaign, Roski, here in Liverpool, Anton Piotrowski is also flexing his culinary skills in the Liverpool Food & Drink Festival demo tent with pigeon wellington and a sumptuous carrot cake. Famed for his take on eclectic British cooking, Anton is sure to wow the crowds on Sunday with these classic dishes with a twist. Demo times and info here.
Gates open at 10:30 on Saturday and tickets are just £6 for an adult day pass of £10 for the weekend. With jam-packed programmes of demo’s, workshops and a very special launch event on Friday, foodies can’t afford to miss this brilliant, family-friendly festival.
