6 reasons why you should visit Castle St Townhouse as it celebrates its sixth birthday

Since it launched six years ago, Castle St Townhouse has become the heart of one of the city’s most vibrant destination areas.

Whether you want to catch up for cocktails with the girls, enjoy a romantic meal for two, or get together for a fun night out with the family, you can’t beat its relaxed and friendly atmosphere. They also have a sister venue now situated on Seel Street.

So as Castle Street Townhouse celebrates its sixth birthday, here’s six reasons to visit – one for each of the fabulous years it’s been here…

1. Sunday Roasts

Available every Sunday from noon, Townhouse serves up the most mouthwatering roasts for just £14.95, with a choice of chicken and beef, served with fresh, seasonal veg, those all-important roasties and risen-to-perfection Yorkshire puds with lashings of rich gravy; and there’s a vegan option too with a Veg Wellington and gorgeous vegan gravy. And, let’s not forget, its a la carte menu with perfect pastas, the famous Ultimate Townhouse Burger, choice of super-tasty steaks from the grill, and more.

2. Outside area

Who cares it might be getting chilly? That’s one of the best times to cosy up and chill in Townhouse’s amazing pavement seating area, surrounding by its twinkling lights which will add a sparkle to any evening, and warmed by its outdoor heaters.  See, the guys there think of everything to make sure you’re happy!

3. Live music

From Friday to Sunday, Castle Street Townhouse has got a live acoustic band, singing all your favourite tunes to create the best weekend vibes, and get you singing in your seat and maybe even throwing a few shapes on the floor. On Fridays and Saturdays there’s a resident DJ too.

4. Cracking Christmas Menu

Let the feasting and festivities begin! If you want to get together for a Christmas meal with the folks from work or your best mates, Townhouse has ramped it up, so you can dine, drink, and party. There’s a superb three-course menu for only £35.50 a head which includes seasonal specials like spiced butternut squash soup and cranberry brie short crust tart to start, and stuffed turkey breast roll, lamb rump or sea bass for mains.

It’s taking bookings now, and if you want to raise a glass to the festive season, it’s got some great drinks packages as well, including three bottles of Prosecco for £70 – well we all like a bit of fizz – and 12 bottles of beer for £45.

5. Dazzling décor

Who doesn’t like a little luxury? And Castle Street Townhouse has got it by the bucketload. As if the grand exterior wasn’t enough to lure you in, once you get inside you’re embraced by a dazzlingly sumptuous décor that says classy and chic, from the plush velvet seating areas, the stylish monochrome flooring, elegant artwork, and lavish marble and dark wood furnishings.

6. Drinks served with a smile

Whatever your celebration or reason for hitting the Townhouse, you can be sure it’ll have the drink to go with it from the best wines and spirits to a collection of craft ales and beers. It offers a selection of shots – Limoncello D’Amalfi, Baby Guinness and Tequila Rose to name a few – and the most fantastic cocktails, from everyone’s favourite Pornstar Martinis and Cosmopolitans to its signature Townhouse Sling with Edinburgh Gin, Cherry Heering, Cointreau, pineapple and lime juice, all delivered to your table by the fab and friendly staff.

And with that, we’ll raise our own glass – Happy Birthday Castle Street Townhouse!
