And that’s more than okay, because not only does it mean you’ve secured your place at some of Liverpool’s favourite fun things to do, it means you’ve got loads to look forward to, like this little lot…

Royal Liver Building 360

Known throughout the world, the iconic Royal Liver Building takes pride of place at the heart of the famous waterfront, standing as a symbol of Liverpool, its history, and its people. But how much do you really know about it? On the fascinating 360 tour you start your journey at the visitor centre, finding out about the building’s as well as its place in local heritage.

And, after you’ve viewed the exhibitions, you take a guided tour to the 10th and 15th floors to enjoy a state-of-the-art projection inside the historic clock tower and spectacular 360° views of the Liverpool skyline. Now that’s a view!

The Beatles Story

We love this – yeah, yeah, yeah! And if you’re not a fan now, you will be after a visit to the biggest Beatles exhibition in the world. Of course it’s here! And it’s the best place to learn more about the four lads who shook the world, along with the music they created to the styles they adopted and the fashions they wore. There’s a NEMS Record Shop, a replica Cavern, a family-focused Discovery Zone and, even, a Fab Four Café…and so much more. It just keeps getting bigger and better.

You can visit the dressing rooms, see what happens during a press conference, visit the Club’s museum, see the packed trophy cabinets and, yes, you get to touch the ‘This is Anfield’ sign as you walk through the players’ tunnel.

Mersey Ferries

You don’t need a yellow submarine to enjoy a view of Liverpool from the water, just soak up the city’s impressive historical architecture and fantastic Mersey River waterfront aboard the 50-minute River Explorer Cruise!  The waterfront itself – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – is enough to enjoy – but you can also hop off to visit Woodside Ferry Village at Woodside, or The Beatles Story at the Albert Dock, or just enjoy a picnic on board and relax (and try not to sing that iconic song as you Ferry ‘Cross the Mersey…is it possible?!).

The maze-like bunker is just as it was in 1945 and in this time-capsule hidden beneath Liverpool City Centre you can see original documents, tools, and maps used to analyse the enemy, plus one of two surviving phones that had a direct line to Churchill’s War Rooms!

Strawberry Field

Explore the inspirational place behind the famous Beatles’ song. Strawberry Field Children’s home helped thousands of children and spawned one of the Beatles’ most-loved songs? Not bad eh?
