The Cottage Loaf, Thurstaston
The daffs are out, the lawnâs been cut and the white picket fence looks fresh and clean â can there be many more inviting places to have that first pint back, or a chilled glass of fizz with your mates? Clegg Arms, Gayton
Itâs taking bookings now for its outside area. Open between 12noon-9pm all week, the Chester Road pub is exclusively serving food and drinks from its garden menu: âSo you can come and enjoy a get-together outside! The Red Fox, Thornton Hough

The perfect pub in the heart of Heswall, The Jug and Bottle serves locally sourced, homemade meals and local real ales, and its outdoor area is perfect for catching the rays and keeping cool with an ice beer. Itâs open from 12pm for outside food and drink service, and it will be serving its Alfresco Menu all day until 8pm.

The Tap, Birkenhead
Another one boasting some of the best views. Sitting on the side of the River Mersey, The Tapâs beer garden offers panoramic views from John Lennon Airport to the city and our fabulous waterfront. The flowers are blooming, the tables and seating have had a lick of paint â and now all it needs is you, so grab your mates for a drink and a great view.

The Ferry, Wallasey
The Ferry has been a pub for more than 100 years and is a favourite with all those taking a stroll along the prom or enjoying a few hours on the beach at Egremont. Itâs back open from 10am, with the more brilliant views across the Mersey and city skyline, and with no booking system, itâs first come, first served.

The Pollards Inn, Willaston
The Pollards Inn people have been âbusy beesâ while theyâve been closed and canât wait to show everyone on April 16 when they reopen. The gorgeous garden area now has the addition of âThe Barnhouseâ, an outdoor sheltered area which includes heating and lighting, so summer nights can be enjoyed long after the temperatures drop and you can book online. If youâre popping in for a drink and a bite to eat from the new âBeer Garden Menuâ theyâve got plenty of tables in the garden available on a first come first served basis: âBring the kids, bring the dog or just bring yourself, and enjoy that first proper drink youâve been waiting for.â
Cheshire Cheese & Cheshire Gin Garden, Wallasey
The tables are set, the tubs have been filled with fabulous flowers and the Cheshire Cheese says itâs âall spruced upâ ready to welcome customers back into its Gin Garden on April 19.
For now its new opening hours will be Monday to Thursday, 4pm â 8pm; Friday, 4pm â 10pm; Saturday, 12 noon â 10pm and, Sunday, 12 noon â 8pm. Theyâre not taking any table bookings for the time being but working on a first come first serve basis! Ladies and gentlemen, form an orderly queueâŚ
