Beer fans are in for a treat as a host of events are planned over spring and summer for people who enjoy a pint and a nice bite to eat.
From city centre venues to parks and sports clubs, beer festivals will give us a chance to learn more about brewing and enjoy a host of ales from the local area and beyond.
And it isn’t just about the beer, gin, cider and fizz are all on the drinks menu too with many events also featuring local food producers and even some family fun.
Here are seven drinks festivals not to be missed over the next few months.

There will be authentic German cuisine, local sausage producers, live oompah bands and folk dancers at this event in Southport’s Victoria Park.
A DJ will also bring the party vibes with on-stage challenges, giveaways, and crowd-pleasing anthems.

Southport Beer Week (20-25 May)

Southport Beer Week will bring six days of celebrations to the town’s pubs and bars.
The event, organised by Southport BID, will run from Wednesday 20 to Monday 25 May, building on a successful debut year that saw venues across the town centre packed with visitors.
At the heart of the festival is a town-wide ale trail, giving people the chance to explore a range of venues, sample cask ales and craft beers, and collect stamps along the way.
Those who complete their trail booklet will be entered into a prize draw, adding an extra incentive to try as many stops as possible.
Visitors can also expect a packed programme of events, with last year’s festival featuring everything from tap takeovers and meet the brewer sessions to quizzes, live music and food specials.
