Wild  Shore Liverpool is the best place in the city for messing about on the waterâŚ
And with around five weeks until the fab and fun attraction takes its toe out of the Albert Dock waters for another year, thereâs still plenty of time to dive in and have a great time.
As well as the ever-popular Aqua Park â a huge inflatable obstacle course with free-fall slides, trampolines, rafts and barriers â thereâs loads more activities this time around, and as the weather cools itâs good to know theyâre things you can do without even having to get wet!
âThe new attractions have been really popular, and as we head out of summer, probably more than ever,â says Becki Gerrard, operations manager of the waterfront waterpark.
âWeâve got pedaloes, electric mini port boats and paddleboards, and theyâre great for having fun with your family or your mates. And, if you donât want to end up in the water, theyâre perfect.
âAfter lockdown, weâre all enjoying getting out and doing things together again. We advise booking, but you donât have to. Weâre happy for people to just walk up â so itâs great if the kids have had enough of the shops â and thereâs usually something to do with little or no wait.â
And she smiles: âAs we get quieter, look out for flash sales or offers on our Facebook and Instagram accounts!â
There are two mini port boats which cost ÂŁ15 for 20 minutes with the minimum age now three; six pedaloes for six and overs â âit tends to be mum and dad who pedal, but kids who can reach the pedals can have a go tooââ which are only ÂŁ10 for 30 minutes, and Stand Up Paddleboards for eights and over, which are ÂŁ110 for a group of up to six.
âIf youâve ever fancied having a go, especially of the Paddleboards, this is your chance,â says Becki. âWeâve had experienced people, and beginners who want to learn and, at Wild Shore, weâll never leave you on your own, weâre always there to guide and advise.
âPeople might be surprised that itâs not as difficult as it looks so give it a go â at the very least all the activities give people a chance to tour the Dock and see the waterfront from a different angle.â
Wild Shore is open Wednesdays to Fridays from 12.30pm to 5pm, Saturdays, 9am to 6pm, and Sundays, 10am â 6pm.
