THERE’S a brand-new venue that’s causing a lot of interest in Southport and, credit where it’s due, The Old Bank is definitely a bar and restaurant that’s worth checking out!
With an ‘Eat. Drink. Hang Out.’ mantra, it’s issued an invitation to everyone to come and join in the fun, from families who’ve been out and about shopping or having a ball on the beach in the day, to friends and couples who fancy a classic cocktail or two when night falls.
“We only opened on November 19 but there’s been a snowball effect, and we’ve just got busier and busier,” says Amber Sardinha, social media and events manager. “And it’s great to be here to help people celebrate Christmas – and beyond.”
You’re guaranteed a fantastic atmosphere inside the stunning Lord Street Building, which has been decorated with bright colours and funky murals which show that, unlike its original occupants, it doesn’t take itself too seriously.
But what it does take seriously is its extensive drinks selection of beers, wines, spirits, and cocktails, and its mouth-wateringly good menu of salads, pizzas (served until 10pm!) and bar snacks.
There’s also a new Christmas menu on the way if you fancy a works gathering or a get-together with your nearest and dearest – and there are some amazing booths which are perfect for either.
The Old Bank has also launched a Bottomless Brunch on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays with three separate time slots and 90-minutes of the best brunch ever including the perfect pizzas and an unlimited choice of Prosecco, house wine, Espresso Martini cocktails, 4Pure beer and Licor 43 and mixers.
If you like a great place to head to at the weekend, this could be the one with a regular DJ in charge of the decks.
And, if you’ve got a Christening, birthday or anniversary bash planned, look no further than its stylish, private mezzanine for a party place you can bank on.
