14 things you can do this week in Liverpool (21-27 February 2022)

We’ll hopefully see the back of Dudley, Eunice and now Franklin at some point this week so we can get out and do things again without fighting 40 mile-an-hour winds.

There’s plenty going on in Liverpool this week and it’s half term for most schools so that means extra stuff to take the kids to.

Brit Awards winners Wolf Alice play Mountford Hall on Tuesday

Rescheduled from January, this year’s Brit Awards Group of the Year winners Wolf Alice are in Liverpool to play their first headline show since 2018. They’ll be performing songs from their brilliant third album Blue Weekend and their earlier Mercury Prize winning album, Visions Of A Life. 7pm doors.

Paper Cup Project does fantastic work helping homeless people in our city and now it’s found a new way to do it – by opening a coffee shop where not only do the profits go to support their work, but they train homeless people with barista and hospitality skills to get them back into work. Opening on Monday.

Bradford rap and bassline three-strong collective Bad Boy Chiller Crew are touring their new Disrespectful album right now and there’s a stop off at Arts Club Loft this Wednesday. Expect a full-throttle rowdy set and plenty of larger-than-life attitude.

Great British Menu night with Dave Critchley on Wednesday

Following his appearance on the BBC2 show, chef Dave Critchley will be serving his incredible tasting menu at Lu Ban restaurant for one night only, this Wednesday. The six-course menu includes the ‘Royal Night In’, ‘Surprisingly Cilla’, and Art Attack’s ‘Try It Yourself’ dishes inspired by the show’s theme of 100 years of British Broadcasting.
