The Derry Mathews CIC FREE Family Christmas Party returns for its third year this December, bigger and better than ever.
Taking place on Sunday, 15th December 2024, the free Family Christmas Party will be held at the Adelphi Hotel’s Banqueting Suite, the largest space in the hotel, to inviting over 500 children and their families from across Liverpool City Region.
Last year’s event was a massive success and was attended by nearly 350 kids.
Every child in attendance last year received a toy from Santa in the Christmas grotto, a selection box and food and soft drink.
The day also included a live pantomime, music, a Christmas choir, fun and games and much more – providing a memorable day for all the children that attend. This year will be even bigger and better with some more surprises planned!
The local team behind the event includes ex professional boxer Derry Mathews and Stephen Edgerton, who are both Directors of Derry Mathews Academy CIC and Hayley Smitton who is the Events Manager Derry Mathews Academy CIC as well as Mitchell Walsh,Director of Integritas Property Group, who funded last year’s event as well as funding this years,
The team are now taking on an even bigger project this year titled “Everybody’s Christmas” with this year seeing over 150 extra places filled.
Hayley Smitton said:
“Over 500 places were allocated this year in just over one hour! The team is working very hard behind the scenes making sure this year’s event is as good, if not better, than last years. The faces of the children last year will live with me forever.”
Derry Mathews added:
“We are really looking forward to December 15th and have had to move into the largest room the Adelphi Hotel has due to the massive demand to attend the event. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsor Mitchell Walsh and his Integritas Property Group who have made this possible by paying for the day from kids toys to all the food and supplies.”
The now annual event is now the biggest free Christmas Party event in the region for local children and in these tough cost of living times it is something close to the sponsors heart.
Stephen Edgerton said:
“Liverpool is one of those special cities where we all like to come together and there isn’t a better time to come together and provide some joy than at Christmas time.”
Mitchell Walsh added:
“Last year was a great day and to see the faces of all the local kids was fantastic. I am very happy to be working with this great team to make this year’s event even bigger with over 500 local kids aged up to 12 in attendance. I would also like to thank Phoenix Money Ltd for combining with Integritas Property Group to fund this fantastic event.”
The event will run from 2pm until 5pm on Sunday 15th December.
