This week in Liverpool is looking huge with plenty of shows to see, events to attend and tasty food to indulge in.
Still recovering from St Paddy’s partying which was meant to be Thursday but somehow rolled over into the weekend?
We feel your pain, but there’s a new week of things happening in Liverpool and it’s going to be a belter of a weather week so here are 16 ideas to get you out and about …
The Good Business Festival
Businesses are getting back on their feet again after a rough couple of years, and The Good Business Festival from Tuesday to Thursday is there to help do it in a way that’s good for everyone including the planet. It’s three full days across nine venues packed with global and local brands, talks, debates, events and lots of ideas for creating future change.Â

Aretha Franklin, Untold Orchestra at Camp and Furnace on Friday
Fans of the Queen of Soul are in for an absolute treat at Camp and Furnace on Friday because they’ll be able to hear all her incredible hits in a totally different way. The Untold Orchestra will be doing a live orchestral rendition with special guest singers of classics like Respect and Natural Woman at Furnace from 8pm.
Curious Incident at the Empire
The National Theatre’s production The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is an award-winning hit that’s been seen by more than three million people worldwide. It tells the story of a teenage boy who excels at maths but struggles with everyday life who has his world turned upside down by the death of his neighbour’s dog.
Hope Street Jazz – Tuesday at Frederiks
Hope Street Jazz is on every Tuesday and Thursday at Fred’s, bringing a winning hattrick of live music from 8pm, great food served until 9pm and cocktails until late. This Tuesday, it’s the turn of The Ensemble and on Thursday it’s swing and jazz from The Jubilee Stompers.
Cocktails at Mason’s
Mason’s on Seel Street is all about cocktails and it’s got a whole menu of signatures, classics and frozen ones – including a frozen Pornstar which is perfect for the decent weather. Lots are available as sharers between two, or for a group of six, and if you want to find out what makes them so amazing, they do two-hour cocktail masterclasses too.
Last chance to catch Cherry Jezebel at the Everyman
It’s been getting some fabulous reviews, and this week is the last chance to see Jonathan Larkin’s funny and poignant play Cherry Jezebel at the Everyman so if you haven’t been yet, get there quickly! It’s set in Liverpool’s drag scene and has a really talented cast including Mickey Jones as Cherry Brandy. On until Saturday.
Spend some time with nature at Martin Mere
Martin Mere is always a gorgeous place to visit, either with or without kids, so get out into nature you can see the cheeky otters or pretty flamingos, as well as thousands of wild ducks, geese, waders and swans, bats, mammals and insects. Kids can go pond dipping, or on a canoe safari and there’s outdoor adventure play areas to burn up some energy.
She Drew the Gun and Zuzu play a FREE gig at Content on Thursday
Two of Merseyside’s finest talents take to the stage at Content in the Baltic Triangle this Thursday evening and the good news is you can get in for free! The gig is all part of the Good Business Festival, in fact it’s the closing party so it’s sure to be a big one. All you have to do is sign up for a free ticket here, and your pre-weekend party is sorted.
The Coral play Invisible Wind Factory
Wirral legends The Coral are back out on the road again for the first time in three years to celebrate their 20th anniversary and they’ll be bringing their tour to IWF this Friday. They’ll be playing their self-titled debut album in full along with classics, unreleased tracks and B-sides.
British Gymnastics at the Arena
Another major national sporting event comes to the Arena this week, from Thursday to Sunday, with the Men’s and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics British Championships. Anyone who enjoyed watching the gymnastics at the Olympics in Tokyo last summer will love seeing GB’s top-level gymnasts competing live.

The Craft Rum Show at the Exhibition Centre
If you’re a fan already, or maybe you’re a gin or whisky drinker who’s never tried it, now’s your chance to find out why so many people love rum. The Craft Rum Show on Friday and Saturday will include tasting samples from producers, workshops and masterclasses with experts and exclusive serves – plus there’ll be other spirits on offer too.

James Arthur plays Liverpool
He’s brilliant live and James Arthur is lining up 30 gigs in six countries over 2022/2023 including one at Liverpool Uni Mountford Hall this Saturday. Expect some fabulous vocals, the hits like Say You Won’t Let Go and Impossible, and tracks from his newest album It’ll All Be All Right in the End.
Martin Kemp goes back to the 80s at Camp and Furnace on Saturday
Ray-Bans and double denim on because it’s back to the 80s on Saturday with Spandau’s Martin Kemp DJing for pure nostalgia partying at Camp and Furnace. These throwback nights are always massive and this one’s going to be no different so prepare for back-to-back Frankie, Madonna, Blondie, Wham and so many more, in Furnace from 8pm.
Spend Mother’s Day with Scouse Ma
Sunday’s just for the mas and that definitely includes our Scouse Ma who’s got a Big Night Out Mother’s Day special at Invisible Wind Factory. Ultrabeat will be bringing back the memories, along with DJs Vicki Scott and Kaci-Lea Lynch, plus there’ll be games, prizes and surprises all night.

Walk the Wirral Way
If all this sunshine is making you feel like a nice long walk then do a bit of planning and make sure it’s a picturesque one. The Wirral Way runs from West Kirby to Hooton, you get absolutely stunning views across the Dee to North Wales and you’ll see plenty of birds and wildlife on the route.
