Why town is the perfect spot for your summer 2022
2 years ago
The sun’s in the sky, Liverpool is set to sizzle – and we are going to help you make the most of every magic moment.
This Summer we’re partnering with our friends at Liverpool BID Company to share the very best of what Town has to offer as the days get warmer.
Whether you’re looking for ways to keep the kids entertained, planning a night out with friends, or thinking about ideas for great days out in the sunshine, we’ll be giving you the lowdown on what not to miss.
From Bold Street to Bluecoat, Church Street to the Metquarter, Pier Head and the Waterfront and beyond, each week there’ll be tons of reasons to head into Town, along with reminders as to why it’s got something Everyday for Everyone.
You could be into outdoor brunching or clobber shopping, thinking of first-dating or bar hopping, or hoping to catch a fab local band playing your favourite tunes, but you don’t need to worry, because we’ll have you covered – with ideas by the bucketload.
And here’s just a taster…
Looking for the perfect place for a breather or somewhere to sit and escape the hustle and bustle? Then how about St Nick’s? The city’s parish church on Chapel Street has got great gardens with gorgeous green lawns and it’s an amazing suntrap. An oasis of calm overlooking the river, you can park yourself on a bench, or picnic on the grass, and switch off from the world while watching the ship’s sail by (and of course, you’re always assured of a welcome inside!).
Or what about a spot of culture? We’ll let you know what’s on throughout the summer from amazing theatre productions at the Royal Court, the Empire and Playhouse Theatre to the latest exhibitions at the museums – like Doctor Who Worlds of Wonder for fans of science and the Time Lord at World Museum – and must-see tours like the Royal Liver Building 360 Tour, and more.
Maybe you want to know where you can meet your mates for a bite to eat and still catch some rays? Then we’d recommend Bold Street where Rudy’s, LEAF, Jimmy’s, Fat Hippo, La Parilla and others have got fab seating areas outside, or OH ME OH MY on Water Street with its rooftop garden on the eighth floor of West Africa House boasting some of the best views of the city and slap bang in front of the iconic Three Graces, or The Albert Dock, with a collection of great eateries with cuisines from around the world boasting the best terraces and balconies from which to enjoy your al fresco fayre.
We’ll have stunning street art you can enjoy while you wander around Town, activities for families so there’s no ‘I’m bored’ moments in these school holidays, and gigs to go to whatever your musical tastes.

Because Town does have something Everyday for Everyone.
