This Morning is heading for Liverpool this week and its bringing its Menopause Bus with it.
On Wednesday 20th July, Dr Nighat Arif is coming to Dr Martin Luther King Jr building plateau at Royal Albert Dock, with This Morning and Boots between 10am and 2pm on a new Menopause Bus.
The initiative is part of the This Morning Takes On The Menopause campaign and aims to give women in Liverpool who are experiencing the menopause the knowledge they need to understand and act on their symptoms.
This Morning will host a live segment on the menopause from Liverpool and, once the cameras stop rolling, the bus doors will open for women to come on board to speak to a range of experts confidentially, including health and wellness experts from the Menopause Charity, a Boots pharmacist and a No7 Beauty Advisor. A wealth of leaflets with information and insight on the menopause will also be available.
Ifrah Ullah, Boots Pharmacist, says:Â
“It’s great to have the opportunity to open the conversation about menopause and to encourage people to speak to us about anything that is on their mind – people do not need to experience menopause alone. It is a natural process and is different for everyone and I want people know they can come and talk to their local pharmacist confidentially, with no appointment needed, as a first port of call for advice and support.”
All Boots pharmacists and team members have access to specialist online menopause training to help educate them on the signs and symptoms of menopause, to help aid supportive conversations. This covers all stages, including peri-menopause, menopause and post-menopause.
No7 Beauty advisors have all completed a bespoke menopause training module as part of its award winning CIBTAC-endorsed skincare training programme, Skin School. The module examines how skin changes during the menopause, so Beauty Advisors can confidently advise women on products and ingredients that will best suit changing skin needs.
Boots also has a dedicated menopause page on boots.com that allows customers to shop by symptom, making it easier and more accessible to find the right product to suit the customer’s personal experience and situation.
A convenient and discreet menopause service is also available through the Boots Online Doctor service. If appropriate, the service can provide quick access to advice and prescription-only medicine without having to see a GP. Available via the Boots Health Hub, My Menopause Centre offers patients an appointment with a menopause specialist GPs within two weeks.*
All treatments supplied are subject to clinician approval. Charges applyÂ
