Liverpool City Region Christmas – what’s happening across Knowsley and St Helens?

Festive celebrations are under way across the region with plenty of opportunities for all the family to get in the mood for Christmas.
You can enjoy seeing the lights illuminate your local town, sparkling trees, visits from Santa and musical performances of carols and Christmas songs in Knowsley and St Helens, there’s loads happening.
Here is our round up of some of the best pre-Christmas events in Knowsley and St Helens.
Huyton village, Friday 18th November, 4pm-9pm
Entertainment from The Christmas Crackers, Rob Charles and Monroe and visits from The Grinch and Olaf before the big lights switch on.
Prescot town centre, Saturday 26th November, 4pm-7pm
With entertainment from the Acro Chaps and Funky Elves before the big light switch on.
The Roundhouse, Prescot, 13th November, until 24th December, 12.30pm-1.30pm
Father Christmas Storytelling is back at The Roundhouse on Saturdays and Sundays. New original stories will be told in a show for all the family in Knowsley.

Kirkby town centre, Friday 25th November, 4pm-6.30pm
90s boyband legends East 17 will perform the big lights switch on and there will be Saturday events throughout December with a grotto, the Grinch, stilt walkers, musical performances and much more.
St Helens town centre, Saturday 26th November, 12 noon-6pm
With an ice rink, funfair rides, entertainment from local band Boomin, and visits from Christmas characters this is a real family affair before the lights get switched on.
Earlestown town centre, Sunday 27th November, 12 noon-6pm
Similar entertainment will be provided at the Earlestown event the day after St Helens.
