Frank Cottrell-Boyce becomes patron for Paper Cup Project

Liverpool-based homeless charity charity Paper Cup Project welcomes acclaimed writer Frank Cottrell-Boyce as their new patron.

Frank is an acclaimed children’s writer known for his Carnegie medal winning classic, Millions, Cosmic and Noah’s Gold.

He is also a film writer probably best known helping create the 2012 Olympic Games opening ceremony. He also wrote the forthcoming film Beautiful Game -about a team of homeless footballers.

Michelle Langan, CEO of Paper Cup Project said:

“We are delighted that Frank is joining us as a patron for our charity. In February last year, we opened up our coffee shop, Paper Cup Coffee, which Frank has been a great supporter of. He has paid forward coffees several times for our customers, which has been a fantastic support for the shop and the charity.

“It’s an exciting time for us, and we are so honoured and pleased that one of Liverpool’s best loved talents is joining to support the work which we for our homeless friends. As well as being a real local talent, he has a wonderful heart.”

Paper Cup Coffee is based at 2 Queens Square, and offers a pay it forward system, where customers can buy food or a hot drink for someone experiencing homelessness.

The Paper Cup Project is a Liverpool-based charity which supports local rough sleepers & people experiencing homelessness. It is a team made up of dedicated volunteers who help those in need across Liverpool. It aims to bring smiles to people’s faces when they need it most.
