What to expect from the Lush Liverpool Christmas Grotto

Liverpool Lush fans can gift themselves an out of this world experience this Christmas with a trip to the Lushiverse.

The entire third floor of the flagship store on Church Street has been transformed into a unique Lush Liverpool Christmas Grotto Experience that’s not just the first in the UK, it’s the only one anywhere in the world!

Open now until Christmas Eve, the Lushiverse is a wonderland of amazing products, characters and fun interactive activities for all the family.

Five themed spaces each tell a story, bringing to life a different Lush favourite. And, because Christmas wouldn’t be the same without him, Santa has his own with a workshop where visitors can make bath bombs and a grotto.

Here’s what to expect when you journey into the Lushiverse …

A Disco Bath Bot room

There’s a distinctly glam dancefloor feel going on here thanks to giant glitterballs. You’ll also get a sneak peak at Lush’s first ever customer tech product. The pioneering sustainable waterproof Bath Bot is like a digital bath bomb, same shape and size, that’s designed to fill bathrooms with a sound and light show. 

An Intergalactic Balls Room

Themed in honour of the much-loved Intergalactic range, and especially its best-selling bright blue bath bomb, this is a Lush-style trip through space, surrounded by lots of giant Intergalactic balls. It’s basically like a huge children’s ball pit but for all ages and what’s not to love about that?

The Snow Fairy Kingdom

Snow Fairy is a festive must-buy for lots of Lush fans. It’s been around for 18 years and is still their most successful range – an incredible 3 million-plus Snow Fairy items were handmade in the Lush factory in Dorset last year. The Snow Fairy Kingdom is full of all its signature candyfloss sweetness.

The Lord of Misrule’s Lab

This space is another one that’s been inspired by one of Lush’s most popular collections – the Lord of Misrule is a character who represents the positive qualities of the range’s products. He’s a scientist who wants to see regeneration and rewilding of rainforests and his lab is all about conserving nature. 

Santa’s Workshop & Grotto

No Christmas experience would be complete without Santa, and in his workshop visitors will be able to make their own products the Lush way, by hand, there’ll be a photo opportunity with Santa in the Grotto and everyone will receive a little gift from Santa too. 

The Lush Liverpool Christmas Grotto Experience launched last Friday and Sandra Byrne, Senior Manager at Lush Liverpool, says it’s been a magical first week.

“It’s a must-visit experience in the city and truly captures the festive season. Based on the fun and festive cheer of its first week, we’re hoping that the Lush Liverpool Christmas Grotto will become a cherished Christmas tradition for many.”

The experience is open every day of the week, November: Mon–Thurs, 5pm – 8pm; Fri, 9.30am – 8pm; Sat, 9.30am – 7pm; Sun, 11am – 5pm. December: Mon – Thurs, 5pm – 9pm; Fri, 9.30am – 9pm; Sat, 9.30am – 7pm; Sun, 11am – 5pm. Christmas Week: Mon – Thurs, 9.30am – 9pm.
