The Bold in Southport town centre is back bigger, bolder and better this Friday (26th January 2025) with delicious dishes to savour.
The beautiful Lord Street venue has just enjoyed an extensive refurbishment ready to start 2024 in style. It includes a revamped kitchen and a new-look restaurant area.
Customers will be able to try out the brand new Bold menu, which celebrates great British pub food classics.
Hungry diners will love the return of the best carvery in town with a selection of meats which have been slow roasted overnight accompanied by the freshest market vegetables and delicious home-made gravy.
A very special offer being introduced will see a fantastic value £5 carvery deal for senior citizens to enjoy Monday to Saturday.
People can look out for more changes coming in a few weeks’ time, with a new tapas and small plates menu that people will love while sitting in the outside dining area to the front of the hotel.
Mikhail Hotel and Leisure Group Director of Food Colin Gannon said:
“We are looking forward to unveiling our new menu this Friday and welcoming back all our loyal, regular customers, as well as seeing lots of new ones!
“Our new menu at The Bold will be a celebration of great British classics.
“We pride ourselves on the quality of our cooking, with all dishes freshly prepared and cooked using the very best seasonal ingredients.
“Diners can enjoy our hand-made steak and ale pie; fish and chips; char grilled bacon steak with free range eggs; cumberland sausage with roast garlic mash; and more.
“We are going to be creating daily specials as well.
“Our pizza and pasta have always been very popular, and they will remain on our menu.
“We want The Bold Carvery to be the very best around with customers coming back time and time again.
“We are keen to do all we can to support our senior citizens locally so will be offering a smaller pensioner’s carvery every Monday to Saturday for just £5.
“It is going to be very popular!
“This Spring, we will be introducing our new tapas and small plates menu which will be perfect for al fresco dining.
“We will have some sharing plates and some charcuterie boards too.”
There is a very talented new chef driving the new menu too.
Colin said:
“We are really pleased to have Kevin Hodge as the new Head Chef at The Bold.
“He is a local Southport lad who is coming to join us from the Lake District, where he has been running his own business.
“He has come back to Southport and is really keen to make The Bold the best place around for food.”
