Liverpool leads the way in allergy safety with innovative anaphylaxis kits

As National Allergy Awareness Week kicks off from April 22- 27, St. Hilda’s Secondary School in Liverpool stands out as a pioneer in prioritising student safety by adopting an anaphylaxis kit provided by Kitt Medical.

St. Hilda’s Secondary School, in South Liverpool, has demonstrated proactive measures to ensure the well-being of its students by embracing an innovative anaphylaxis kit, marking it among the first schools in the city to take this crucial step.

The anaphylaxis kit, provided by Kitt Medical, includes essential emergency adrenaline pens, comprehensive online CPD-accredited training, and incident reporting mechanisms. This package ensures that the school is well-equipped to handle allergy emergencies swiftly and effectively for both students and visitors alike.

The integration of Kitt Medical’s anaphylaxis kit at St. Hilda’s has already made a significant impact in safeguarding students.

Matt Ashton, Director of Public Health at Liverpool City Council, said:

“It’s fantastic to see this pioneering approach to allergy awareness happening in Liverpool. Not only do these specialised kits offer a fantastic resource for teachers, but they are really important as an awareness raising tool for our young people, giving more understanding of what to look out for when it comes to allergic reactions.”
