No More Kennels Hosts Howl’o’ween Pawty to Raise Funds for Liverpool Charity, Care for the Paw
No More Kennels Dog Hotel and Daycare, owned by canine behaviourist Rebeckah Vaughan, is excited to host a special Howl’o’ween Pawty on 31st October. This pups-only event invites local dogs to enjoy a fun-filled day in their best spooky costumes while raising money for Care for the Paw, a charity supporting homeless dogs and their owners.
The event is open exclusively to dogs who have previously attended daycare or boarded at No More Kennels. Daycare fees range from £20 to £22, with £5 from each entry donated to Care for the Paw.
Care for the Paw provides critical aid to dogs living on the streets or in temporary accommodation with their homeless owners. The charity supplies food, water, bedding, and toys, and also offers veterinary care, including surgeries when necessary, to improve the quality of life for these dogs.
“We ensure street dogs have food, water, bedding, and other essentials, and our vets are on hand to provide care for any unwell dogs,” says a Care for the Paw representative. “We also arrange surgeries for dogs in need and look after them until they recover.”
To make sure all pups have a safe and enjoyable time, Rebeckah Vaughan shared her top costume safety tips:
• Make sure the costume is safe and comfortable for your dog, avoid tight fitting costumes. • Choose costumes made from non-toxic materials. • Avoid costumes with potential choking hazards. • Limit masks and shoes as these can cause distress. • Help your dog get used to the costume before Halloween. • Watch for signs of stress whilst testing your costume out. • Always supervise your costumed dog.
