Win tickets to the 2025 Northern Music Awards and vote for your Festival of the Year

The Northern Music Awards take place in Liverpool in 2025 and The Guide is proud to be media partner for the event.

Five Northern festivals have been shortlisted to win Festival of the Year at next year’s Northern Music Awards, and we need help from readers of The Guide Liverpool to decide the winner.

We have teamed up with music therapy charity, Nordoff and Robbins, to shine a light on some of the best festivals our region has to offer.

Those shortlisted to win the award by a panel of music industry professionals include Liverpool’s Sound City, Manchester’s Parklife and Neighbourhood, Tramlines in Sheffield, Kendal Calling and TK Maxx presents Lytham Festival.

This is your chance to give back to the festival that gave you the best memories this summer by casting your vote for them to win this special award.

Anyone who votes could be in with a chance of winning two tickets to the performance-packed Northern Music Awards ceremony on Thursday 27th March 2025 at the iconic Liverpool Olympia, where the winner of the award will be revealed.

Cast your vote for the Northern Music Awards Festival of the Year on the form here. Voting closes on Friday 17th Jan at 23.59.

If you don’t want to wait to hear if you’ve won, tickets are available to buy now from £36 (early bird rate until 31 December) – book yours here.

The first ever Northern Music Awards were hosted in April 2024 at Manchester’s Albert Hall, with Courteeners, Lisa Stansfield, Tim Burgess, Louis Tomlinson, Melanie C, English Teacher, The K’s and The Reytons all winning awards. Lisa Stansfield, Liam Fray, Antony Szmierek and English Teacher all gave spellbinding performances on the big night, where Lancashire’s Beat-Herder took home the 2024 Festival of the Year Award.

Star performers for the 2025 Northern Music Awards will be announced in the new year.

Supported by Ticketmaster and Live Nation, the Northern Music Awards, held for the first time in Manchester in April this year, is the only show set up specifically to recognise and celebrate the breadth of talent across the North of England.

Money raised from the event will go towards increasing Nordoff and Robbins’ music therapy provision in the North of England, positively impacting local communities by using music as a creative health intervention to improve the health and wellbeing of local people.

Nordoff and Robbins provides essential music therapy for those living with dementia, autism, learning difficulties, brain injuries, life-limiting illnesses, mental health issues, grief and trauma.

The North of England is Nordoff and Robbins’ largest service area, with 58 music therapists and 118 partner organisations providing 20,000 sessions of vital music therapy: transforming the lives of more than 5,400 people in the region.
