Liverpool’s Natasha Jonas and Odel Kamara launch ticket sales for 2025 World Boxing Championships

Liverpool legends are stepping into the spotlight once again – this time to launch ticket sales for the World Boxing Championships 2025, coming to the M&S Bank Arena from 4–14 September 2025.
Two-time world champion Natasha Jonas and rising GB Boxing star Odel Kamara joined forces to officially open ticket sales for what promises to be one of the city’s biggest sporting events since the London 2012 Olympics.
With over 500 elite boxers from more than 60 countries heading to the city to compete for global titles, this is the first time men and women will fight side-by-side at a unified Olympic-style world championship event – and it’s all happening right here in Liverpool.
Tickets are now available via Ticket Quarter with prices starting from £15 for adults and £5 concessions (U16s, OAPs, students and those in receipt of benefits). There’s even a “buy 10, get one free” deal for groups.
The launch event saw Natasha and Odel joined by young fighters from Higherside ABC, plus local and national sporting leaders who are helping to deliver what promises to be a knockout moment for the city.

Jonas, who won a world medal in 2011 before representing Team GB at London 2012, said:
“This is the best of the best. Olympic-style boxing at this level is something special, and Liverpool is the perfect city to host it. We’re known for our passion, and I know the fans will be out in force to support the home nations. To see men and women sharing the same stage like this? It shows how far the sport has come – and it’s only getting stronger.”
Odel Kamara, 21, who trains with GB Boxing and represents Salisbury ABC, is dreaming of competing in his hometown:
“This is everything I’ve been working towards. Competing at home, in front of my family, friends and city – it would mean the world. We’re all training hard to earn our place, and I’m ready to show everyone what I’ve got.”
Beyond the ring, the Championships are set to leave a lasting legacy across the region. In the lead-up and during the event, the Local Organising Committee (LOC) will deliver a range of community programmes focused on wellbeing, education and opportunity – including:
- Boxing activator courses in schools and community centres
- A full-time Coaching Apprentice delivering 1,100+ hours of coaching
- Free non-contact boxing tasters across the region
- Training more than 35 new coaches and 20 new officials
- Running the Literacy Kicks programme in 20 local schools

Led by England Boxing, these activities are supported by Brabners and local partners who are passionate about driving positive social change through sport.
Liverpool was chosen as host after a successful bid by England Boxing, GB Boxing, Liverpool City Council and M&S Bank Arena, backed by UK Sport and The National Lottery. Other partners include Sting, Nike Boxing, Visit Liverpool and the Liverpool BID Company.
Book tickets on the M&S Bank Arena website.
