The Plaza Community Cinema will host the premiere of Jamie Webster’s 90 minute concert film, Live In Sefton Park. With James Nelson-Joyce hosting a 30-minute Q&A.
The Plaza Community Cinema will host the premiere on Friday 12th September 2025.
The evening’s program includes a 10-minute preview of Webster’s feature-length documentary North End Kid, a 90-minute screening of his Live In Sefton Park concert film, and a 30-minute Q&A hosted by actor James Nelson-Joyce (This City Is Ours, Black Mirror, A Thousand Blows).
The aim of the screening is to kick start a campaign to raise money so the cinema can buy a dedicated PA system for its 500 seat main auditorium.

“The Plaza has established itself over the last 28 years as a community cinema but we need to secure the future of the premises by finding alternate ways to utilise the space we have. Liverpool has a rich musical heritage and we feel that we can tap into that here in Sefton. Our aim is to create a regular grass roots music programme but have the technical ability to cater for established touring artists.”
The Plaza is a volunteer-run community cinema offering cultural programs, community screenings and encourages social inclusion through film.
