Liverpool’s Epstein Theatre are looking for the perfect Prince Charming in their Cinderella production this festive season
The successful actor will join Corrie’s Katie McGlynn, TV star Kevin Duala and Liverpool favourite Leanne Campbell in the Regal Entertainments spectacular.
The hunt is on for the perfect Prince to sweep Cinderella off her glass-slippered feet at Liverpool’s Epstein Theatre this Christmas.
Regal Entertainments Ltd is set to hold auditions on Monday, 15th September for actors keen to appear as the handsome suitor in the greatest fairytale of them all.
And now the panto producer is calling on performers with right royal appeal to get in touch with their showreel and CV for a chance to be seen on the day.

Prospective princes should be at least 5ft 10in tall and a strong ‘triple threat’ performer – one who can sing, dance and act equally brilliantly, as well as good-looking, charismatic and confident with ‘leading man’ stage presence.
The successful candidate will join a starry pantomime cast which includes Coronation Street favourite Katie McGlynn as Cinderella, Liverpool panto royalty Leanne Campbell as the Fairy Godmother and One Show and Radio Merseyside presenter Kevin Duala who will play Cinders’ best friend Buttons.
This smash hit production of the classic tale promises magnificent and magical moments along with dazzling set and costumes, brilliant choreography and a soundtrack of singalong tunes.
The popular pantomime is also one of the eagerly anticipated events in the theatre’s inaugural autumn season which is due to be launched with a special Gala Night on Friday, 19 September – Brian Epstein’s birthday – featuring local acts and celebrities.
The Hanover Street landmark, which closed its doors in June 2023, now has new leaseholders and a new management team which is promising a busy programme of entertainment reflecting the theatre’s century-long role as the home of local talent, national touring productions, music, comedy and pantomime.

Epstein Theatre General Manager Anthony Proctor said today:
“These are exciting times at the Epstein Theatre and one of the jewels in the crown of our new autumn season is our Christmas pantomime.
“The theatre has a long history of staging big, bold and bright crowd-pleasing pantos and we have a very loyal audience of young – and young at heart – theatregoers. We already have our Cinderella. Now all we need is a handsome Prince to join her in the greatest fairytale of them all.”
Director Chantelle Joseph added:
“At Regal Entertainments we’ve always been very keen to support and nurture the acting talent that abounds both in the City Region and beyond, and I know there’s a perfect Prince Charming out there just waiting to sweep Cinderella off her feet on stage in Liverpool this Christmas.
“We’re looking for a very special actor who has natural charisma and stage presence and, of course, who is also a brilliant all-round performer, to join our lovely cast and work with our very friendly backstage team. I can guarantee it will be a fantastic festive season at the Epstein Theatre.”
Actors who are interested in auditioning for the role of Prince should send their showreel and CV to chantelle@sthelenstheatreroyal.co.uk for consideration by 5pm on Wednesday, 10 September.
Contract dates are 21 November 2025 to 4 January 2026 at the Epstein Theatre.
