The Southport Summer Soirée was a day filled with sunshine, music, and community spirit, bringing together over 100 people to raise an incredible £20,000 in aid of Bebe’s Hive CIC.

The charity supports children through grief and loss and is inspired by Southport girl Bebe King.

The Southport Summer Soirée was held at the impressive Meols Hall in Churchtown Village in Southport.

The magic began at the main gates, where guests were welcomed with uplifting performances from the Churchtown Primary School choir.

Strolling up the sweeping driveway with welcome drinks in hand – generously sponsored by Advance Accountancy – guests mingled and enjoyed the harmonious sounds of Connected Voices Choir while capturing special moments in front of the sponsor board.

Inside the beautifully dressed Tithe Barn, host Kelly Bond introduced acoustic singer Jess Dillon, whose performance set the perfect tone.

Before lunch, Florence King, Bebe’s auntie, shared a moving speech about Bebe, the Hive, and her family’s journey, expressing heartfelt thanks to the Southport community for their unwavering support.

Guests then enjoyed a delicious lunch by Carringtons, sponsored by Spar, with drinks provided by Elite Events.

The afternoon was alive with energy as incredible raffle prizes and bespoke table centrepieces were won, before auctioneers Kelly Bond and Hayley Jones encouraged generous bidding that ensured every auction prize maximised fundraising for the cause.

Cocktail hour sparkled with signature Beehive cocktails, while entertainment came in the form of caricaturist Spencer, the mesmerising magician Mike, and artist Kerri from Murphy’s Sketches, who delighted every guest with personalised artwork to take home.

As evening fell, the barn transformed into a buzzing dance floor.

Ben Ofoedu from Phats & Small and Shane Lynch from Boyzone delivered an electric performance that had everyone on their feet, before world-renowned DJ Yousef closed the night in unforgettable style.

Organisers Dorothy Taylor, Stephanie Sparks, Caroline Farrington, Sharon Bain and Lucy Harper said:

“We are incredibly proud to have raised over £20,000 for Bebe’s Hive.

“It was a day filled with love, joy, and a little Bebe magic – and we are so grateful to everyone who made it possible.”

From sponsors and volunteers to performers and donors, this was truly a community effort, one that not only raised vital funds but also celebrated resilience, togetherness, and hope for children who need it most.
