Sell-out brunch demand sparks massive expansion for Liverpool’s Jaloux

Sell-out brunch demand sparks massive expansion for Liverpool’s Jaloux

Jaloux is officially doubling its footprint by expanding into the next-door unit, providing one of Liverpool’s most coveted brunch hotspots with the space it desperately needs to house its growing fanbase.

This expansion aims to put an end to the regular disappointment of turning eager customers away at the door on a regular basis.

The major expansion follows months of non-stop, sell-out events that routinely forced owner Amy Gwynn and her team to decline reservations simply because the floor was entirely packed out.

By knocking through into the neighbouring property, Jaloux will double its overall capacity. This means 100% more seating and 100% more live entertainment, ensuring that a much larger crowd can enjoy the theatrical brunches, high-octane performances, and electric atmosphere that put the venue on the map.

The newly acquired space is set for a top-to-bottom makeover, blending a fresh aesthetic with Jaloux’s trademark floral decor to create an environment that feels both thrillingly new and instantly familiar. Designed to flow effortlessly from the original room, the larger layout aims to significantly upgrade the guest experience while keeping the exact charm that made the Victoria Street spot a staple of Liverpool’s nightlife.

Since its launch, Jaloux has secured a dedicated following off the back of its immersive daytime events, bespoke cocktails, and premium entertainment lineup. It has quickly become the ultimate city-centre hub for birthdays, big celebrations, and weekend outings, with its signature brunch remaining one of the toughest tickets to secure in town.

For Amy and her team, this upscaling is the perfect opportunity to keep pushing boundaries and raising the standard for hospitality across the city.

Amy Gwynn, Owner of Jaloux, said:

“The hardest part has been telling people we simply can’t fit them in. Every week we’re turning away bookings because we’ve reached capacity, and that’s never something we wanted for Jaloux.

“This expansion changes everything. It means we can welcome so many more guests whilst continuing to deliver the atmosphere, entertainment and experience people know us for. We’re not creating a second venue – we’re expanding Jaloux, giving it even more personality with a fresh new look that still feels unmistakably Jaloux.

“We’re so excited to finally share what we’ve been working on. Doubling our space means double the tables, double the entertainment and even more unforgettable weekends in the heart of Liverpool.”

The team is currently directing all of its focus toward transforming the former OMG site into their newest venture, Campus, which is scheduled to debut for Liverpool’s Pride Weekend.

Once that launch is complete, construction will immediately pivot to the Dorothy’s site, with the newly expanded Jaloux on track to open its doors later this summer.
