Voyagers launches ‘Sunday with Sides’ with 50 free roasts this October
5 hours ago

Voyagers Restaurant & Bar is welcoming the cosy season with a brand-new dining experience, ‘Sunday with Sides,’ an elevated twist on the traditional Sunday roast.
To celebrate the launch, the Duke Street venue is giving away 50 complimentary roasts from 12pm on Sunday 12 October. Served on a first-come, first-served basis, the free roast includes a main course and two sides for those quick enough to secure a spot.
From Sunday 19 October, the menu becomes a weekly fixture, available to pre-book or enjoy as a walk-in.
The experience begins with snacks such as charred rosemary focaccia with balsamic and olive oil, marinated Gordal olives, and tomato and red pepper hummus with flatbreads.
Five hearty mains make up the centrepiece of the menu, each served with charred honey-roasted carrots, golden roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and bottomless gravy. Choices include 12-hour slow-cooked shin of beef, fennel and parsley porchetta with crackling, lemon and thyme roasted chicken supreme, miso and mustard glazed shoulder of lamb, and a chestnut, lentil and cranberry stuffed portobello mushroom for plant-based diners.

The real twist comes from what Voyagers is calling the world’s biggest Sunday roast sides selection. Guests can build their perfect plate with options like rosemary salt roast potatoes, hispi cabbage with smoked butter and crispy onions, cauliflower cheese made with Mrs Kirkham’s Lancashire cheese, and maple-glazed parsnips topped with pecan crumb.
For added indulgence, the Voyagers bone marrow gravy boat, roasted beef marrow with rich red wine gravy, is served at the table.
Desserts include dark chocolate cremoso with cherry compote and sugared hazelnuts, the signature Liverpool tart with muscovado cream, and a weekly Sunday dessert special.
Head Chef Jake Parry said: “There’s something magical about a proper Sunday roast – it’s about slowing down, gathering around the table and enjoying food that feeds the soul. We’ve taken all the classic elements people love and elevated them with touches like our 12-hour slow-cooked shin of beef and signature bone marrow gravy boat. Sunday with Sides is our love letter to the traditional roast, and we can’t wait to share it with Liverpool.”
Set in the historic Ropewalks district, Voyagers has built a reputation for globally inspired dishes with a local touch. With the launch of Sunday with Sides, the restaurant now adds a Sunday roast to its line-up, complete with a children’s menu so the whole family can enjoy the experience together.
Voyagers is also launching a loyalty scheme for Sunday diners. Guests collect a stamp each time they visit for a Sunday roast, and after five stamps, their sixth roast, including one main and two sides, is free.
Every Sunday from 19 October, bookable now via their website.
