Local choirs to serenade mums at Royal Albert Dock this Mother’s Day
30 seconds ago
Families heading to Liverpool’s waterfront this Mother’s Day can expect music, flowers and thoughtful surprises as celebrations take place across the dock.
Royal Albert Dock Liverpool is marking Mother’s Day with a special “Thanks a Bunch” event on Sunday 15 March, which will see 2,000 daffodils given away to mums alongside live performances from local female-led choirs.
Across the afternoon, visitors will be able to pick up one of 400 bunches of daffodils from the Martin Luther King Jr Plateau and Britannia Courtyard, near The Beatles Story. The flowers will be available between 12pm and 1pm on a first-come, first-served basis.

Each bunch will also come with a special gift tag that children can colour in and personalise, with space on the back to write a message explaining why they love their mum.
Adding to the atmosphere, two well-known local choirs – Singing Our Socks Off and Liverpool Singers – will perform live during the giveaway, creating a relaxed soundtrack as families arrive to collect their flowers and celebrate the day.
Visitors can also make a full day of it across the dock with plenty of food, drink and shopping options. Dining spots include Miller & Carter, where guests can tuck into a Sunday sharing board featuring a 10oz steak, and The Botanist, which is offering a complimentary Mother’s Day cocktail for mums.

For those looking for a thoughtful gift, shops such as The Nest offer illustrated cards, candles and homeware, while Nature’s Treasure has jewellery, crystals and unique keepsakes.
With live music, free flowers and plenty to see and do, the dock is once again set to provide the perfect setting for families celebrating Mother’s Day in the city.
