Family favourite food & drink festival returns to Port Sunlight this Easter weekend
25 minutes ago
A ‘food, drink and little luxuries’ festival is returning to the picturesque village of Port Sunlight this Easter weekend, bringing together over 40 of some of Wirral and Merseyside’s best local makers.
Presented by Port Sunlight Village Trust and award-winning Wirral chocolatier The Chocolate Cellar, the Sugar & Spice Festival will be open to explore on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 April, 11am–4pm. It will take place around the beautiful Diamond landscaped park opposite Port Sunlight Museum, along King George’s Drive, in the centre of the village.
The festival will be completely free to enter and include over 40 stalls where visitors can explore and enjoy a range of flavours from around the world, from sweet and indulgent to spicy and flavourful. From indulgent chocolate and homemade honey to jambalaya and Lebanese breads, the festival will offer something to suit all tastebuds and give visitors the chance to discover something new.

Some of the spicy highlights include the flavours of Namak Kitchen’s Indian and Pakistani delights, Camel’s Hump and their Lebanese Deli and bakery, and Pen Y Lan’s hog roast. Sugary treats are plenty with delicious cakes from Cake House Wirral, handcraft chocolates by The Chocolate Cellar and scooped dairy ice cream with Hyacinth.
Visitors will also enjoy a selection of little luxuries on offer from local makers and creators such as illustrations from Katie Tyson, Bee Kind Reimagined’s eco-friendly products and even dogs will be catered for by Cannabark.
Also running on the day will be Port Sunlight’s ever-popular Easter Trail around the village, this time with a Billy the Bunny theme. Tickets are £8 each. Pre-booking is essential and numbers are limited, so families are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment.
Foodie Tours will run at 11.30am on both days, giving visitors the chance to uncover Port Sunlight’s hidden foodie history including the chance to taste the Port Sunlight Bun, a rediscovered 1929 recipe baked back to life by the village’s Nettle Café. Tickets are £20 each.

Charlene Davies, Learning and Audience Development Manager at Port Sunlight Village Trust, said:
“We’re so excited to once again welcome thousands of hungry visitors to Port Sunlight. The Sugar & Spice Festival has grown every year since we launched in 2024 and not only does it bring lots of people to enjoy this special village, but also supports our incredible local businesses and makers. This Easter edition of the Sugar & Spice Festival will be a fantastic family day out, with face painters, entertainment from the Wirral Poetry Festival, and so much more.”
Dogs on short leads are welcome to explore the festival with their owners. Free parking is available opposite Port Sunlight Museum and on surrounding streets, however visitors are asked to be considerate of residents. Visitors are encouraged to instead travel by train on the Merseyrail network and make use of Port Sunlight or Bebington stations, both a five-minute walk away from the Diamond park opposite Port Sunlight Museum.
