Everything we know so far about Comic Con Liverpool 2026
3 hours ago
It’s one of Europe’s largest pop culture conventions and, needless to say, one of the most popular events in the city’s calendar – so it’s no surprise more than 40,000 people are getting ready to flock to Liverpool for this year’s Comic Con.
The flagship convention gets bigger every year, overtaking the capital as the go-to destination for sci-fi fans, comic book lovers and Cosplay enthusiasts.
It has a staggering line-up already with stars from legendary favourites Star Trek and the X Files as well as more recent iconic sci-fi shows like Stranger Things.
Tickets for Comic Con Liverpool sell out fast and this year’s no exception so if you want to be there, here’s 10 things you need to know…
What is Comic Con Liverpool?

Comic Con Liverpool is a massive cos play convention that offers the chance for fans of pop culture, films, TV, comic books, and more, to meet and greet their favourite actors and actresses, have photographs with them, and get autographs. The special guests attend Q&A panels so people can get to ask their own questions of the people who’ve had them on the edges of their seats in fear or anticipation, or just sheer joy.
There’s dress up and the opportunity to mingle with the huge Cosplay community, and shop at trade stalls which sell everything from replica props, clothing and toys to original artwork, and more.
When is Comic Con Liverpool being held?

It’s being held on the first weekend in May, Saturday and Sunday, May 2-3.
Where is it held?

Comic Con will take over the Exhibition Centre on Liverpool’s Waterfront.
What time does it start?

On both days, early entry is 9am with standard entry at 11am, and it closes at 6pm.
Are there still tickets available – and how much are they?

We did say Comic Con tickets always sell quickly and weekend and Saturday tickets are all sold out, BUT you can still get them for Sunday with a standard ticket costing £30.80 including fees.
Book autographs, photos and selfies

Again, the chance to get an autograph or photo with one of your Comic Con idols may well be gone with some already sold out, but there’s still the chance to book either with loads of sci-fi and TV stars. Prices start from around £20 plus booking fee.
Name the names – who’s going to be there?

There’s a long list of names waiting to say hello including:
David Harbour – Stranger Things – Sunday only
Caleb McLaughlin and Priah Ferguson – Lucas and Erica Sinclair in Stranger Things (there both days)
Cara Buono – Stranger Things’ Karen Wheeler
Gillian Anderson from the X Files
Karen Gillan – best known for her roles as Nebula in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers, as well as Ruby Roundhouse in Jumanji and Amy Pond in Doctor Who
Eleventh Dr Who Matt Smith
And, among so many others, the legend that is Willam Shatner, aka Star Trek’s Captain Kirk.
How will I find out what’s on when, and where, so I don’t miss my favourite artist?

There should official programmes available at the door and at information points throughout the venue which will show where everything is and what time photo shoots and Q&A sessions etc., are happening.
Deadpool & Wolverine live screening

There’s a screening of this epic 2024 movie at the Exhibition Centre on Friday, May 1 at 7pm at the Auditorium Liverpool with canine Dogpool star Peggy, and her owners Luke and Holly Middleton talking about their experiences on set.
Is there an After Party this year?

There is – again at Camp and Furnace in the Baltic Triangle and it starts at 7pm. You can look forward to live music, celebrity DJ sets, a cosplay catwalk and more.
