Hailing from Glasgow, Conscious Pilot come to Future Yard. Founded by Joe Laycock and Jack Sharp as a successor to theatrical punk group Cheap Teeth, the pair birthed the project from their joint love of immersive, beat-driven soundscapes and an exploration of subtle shifts.

They are joined by members of Catholic Action and Big Girls Blouse: Emmy Leishman and Chris McCroy. While the band’s identity is a culmination of the differences between each member, they are all bonded by a love of fast, immersive beats and flowing melodies.

The band has since been particularly active in the UK’s live music scene, having completed several tours in UK and making their first foray across Europe in 2025, culminating in two highly coveted performances at Hamburg’s Reeperbahn Festival. After releasing two EPs via Devil Duck Records, “Epoxy Plains” and “Wipe Clean”, the band are releasing their debut LP ‘Human Poultry’ on 8th May 2026
