Montirex launches new foundation to support mental health and grassroots sport across Liverpool
2 hours ago
Since the brands creation in 2019, sportswear brand Montirex has supported its community by backing local hospitals and charities.
They have raisied over £100,000 for causes like Zoe’s Place, Fans Supporting Foodbanks, MIND & The Whitechapel Centre. Their annual ‘Break The Wall’ campaign, which previously run alongside the CALM charity, directly tackles men’s mental health by encouraging open conversations and breaking down barriers.
This year marks the official launch of The Montirex Foundation, a dedicated initiative established to provide vital funding and support to local charities and CICs as they drive positive change across the Liverpool City Region.
An exclusive launch event for the foundation will be held in Liverpool on the 27th of May. As part of this launch, Montirex have partnered with two chosen charities, Open Door Charity and James’ Place, both of which have been awarded grants.
The launch features an exclusive screening of the new Break The Wall film, a panel talk with Founders Daniel Yuen, Kieran Riddell-Austin, Montirex athletes, and a deep dive into our charity partners’ vital work. The campaign continues on May 30th, 2026, with a community ‘Headspace Trail’ event—bringing people together to foster wellbeing and connection.
The event itself will feature a guided trail run with Allterrain95 & WeMovin Run Club. The event finishes at a local cafe, where you can unwind, mingle, and catch an exclusive mini-panel talk hosted by the founder of Allterrain95.
From the very beginning, sportswear brand Montirex has championed its community. The ‘Break The Wall’ initiative reflects this deep-rooted mission to give back, and the creation of The Montirex Foundation marks a powerful, permanent next step in this journey to champion grassroots sports and mental wellbeing.
The Montirex Foundation exists to strengthen mental health and promote social mobility across two grant programmes: Level The Field This offers support for sporting pathways and grassroots organisations to improve access and equity in sport, build community, and enhance wellbeing while Game Changers focuses on strengthening young people’s mental health through sport.
Co-Founder Danny Yuen said:
“As a brand built from the ground up, we’re glad to have the chance to give back to the community that helped us grow. The Montirex Foundation is here to make a positive”
