Five renown crime writers will visit Wirral libraries this June to celebrate National Crime Reading Month.
The programme begins with the ever-popular T.M. Logan at West Kirby Library on Tuesday 2 June at 2.30pm. His novels have sold more than two million copies in the UK and have been translated into 22 languages.

Five of his books have been Sunday Times bestsellers, while two – The Holiday and The Catch – have been adapted for television. He will discuss his latest novel, The Weekend, and the inspirations behind his writing.
A week later, on Tuesday 9 June at 7.30pm, Bebington Central Library will host the return of a trio of authors whose ‘in conversation’ event sold out last year.
Gina Kirkham, a retired Wirral police officer turned writer, will appear alongside Liverpool-born crime author and Wirral resident David Jackson, and Luca Veste, whose latest book, Liar Liar, is the first instalment in The Liverpool Crime Series. And this year, there’s been a murder! Join our intrepid trio as they race to solve the crime – can they crack the case?
The final event features Dr Kathryn Harkup – a former chemist turned writer and science communicator. She has a fascination for all things gothic, gory and geeky and has written on the links between science, literature and popular culture.

Dr Harkup uncovers the deadly secrets behind Agatha Christie’s cunning use of poisons at Wallasey Central Library on Tuesday 30 June at 2.30pm.
Tickets for all the events are £5, including light refreshments, and can be booked via Eventbrite. Alternatively, tickets can be bought at the hosting library.
