There’s a whole load of summer vibes and lots of gin on offer this week in Liverpool.
Summer holiday are in full swings, the mercury is rising and we’ve got gin than you can shake an early dart at for you this week in Liverpool. Breakfast, lunch and dinner, a brand new cycle social, a war horse, a gigantic splash attraction and beatboxing on Matthew Street is on the agenda.
There’s gin festivals at both the Bombed Out Church and the Philharmonic Pub, there’s a Fezzy Cross the Mersey and Merseyside Maritime Museum showcases the incredible Border Force dogs for all to enjoy.

Monday 5th August
Breakfast at Lovelocks, Old Haymarket
We’re starting our week with an al fresco brekkie at Lovelocks Coffee Shop on Old Haymarket. It’s a proper little independent gem this place, super friendly, gorgeous food and a chilled vibe. Menus and more here.Â
Finding Nemo, Floating Cinema, Royal Albert Dock
The Floating Pop-Up Cinema is officially open at the Royal Albert Dock and Monday’s 1pm showing of Disney’s Finding Nemo is one of the only showings with tickets still available. Get yours here.Â
Django Unchained, FACT
Picturehouse at FACT continues its Tarantino season on the run up to ‘Once Upon A Time in Hollywood’ later this month. On Monday night you can see Django Unchained in all its big screen gory, we mean glory at 8pm! Tickets here.
Tuesday 6th August
War Horse, Liverpool Empire
It is certainly one of the most beautiful and captivating shows we have ever seen. War Horse continues its run at the Liverpool Empire this week, bringing the film and the novel to life on stage. Dont miss your chance to see it.
Botanical Gin Garden, Red Snapper Take-over
Botanical Gin Garden plays host to Arbikie and a Red Snapper cocktail competition that will see the winner travel to Edinburgh Fringe Festival to party at the Arbikie Bar. If you like a good snapper, this is the place to be. Info here.Â
Walk The Floor Tours, St George’s Hall
St George’s Halls stunning Minton Tiles have been uncovered once again and you can get up close and personal with this spectacle by booking a spot on a Walk The Floor Tour. Tours run twice a day between 10-11am and 4-5pm and cost ÂŁ13.20pp. Tickets here.Â
Wednesday 7th August
Bido Lito Cycle Club Ryde Ride
Bido Lito Cycle Club is launching a brand new bi weekly social bike ride with the legends down at Ryde, Cain’s Brewery Village. Taking place at 6:30pm from Ryde every second wednesday, all ages and levels are welcome to join in the hour long ride. Just bring your own bike. Info here.Â
Gin Festival, Philharmonic Pub
The most decadent pub in the city, The Philharmonic Dining Rooms is hosting a summer gin festival gin tasting on Wednesday from 5pm. There’s a fine selection of hand crafted gins from local and international distilleries to taste test and there’s 20% off all new gins afterwards. Info here.Â
Pedro At The Disco, Crazy Pedro’s

Seized! Sniffer Dog Demonstrations, Merseyside Maritime Museum
You can get a fascinating insight into the dark world of smuggling and just how incredible the Border Force Sniffer Dogs are at Merseyside Maritime Museum this week. Watch these remarkable animals in action from 12:30 at the dock museum. More info here.Â
Madrid Exhibition Launch, Hotel TIA
There’s a very special exhibition launch taking place at Hotel TIA from 6pm on Thursday as photographer Emma Case reveals Madrid. The exhibition captures the atmosphere and journey of LFC and the fans in bringing home their 6th Champions League title. More info here.
Liverpool ONE Summer of Champions with Natasha Jonas
Alongside the chance to try your hand at various sports at Chavasse Park through out the summer, Liverpool ONE invites you to meet sporting heroes such as Natasha Jonas.
