Chinese New Year celebrations are about to sweep the city and you need to bring your appetite!
What better way to celebrate Chinese New Year in Liverpool than with family and friends and a whole load of delicious food?! Whether you’re going out to watch the mesmerising Dragon Parade, light show or street theatre or staying in with a takeaway for two, we’ve got all the info you need to start the Year of the Pig with a satisfied, full belly!
First up lets talk about Liverpool’s fascination with Sui mai, because when we asked for your favourite dish recommendations, you all raved about it!
Who would’ve known that this traditional Cantonese dumpling, filled with ground pork, mushrooms, ginger and spring onions could cause such a stir across one western city? If you’re having a party and there’s no Sui mai, is it really a scouse party?
You also told us that it’s not to easy to actually find this delicious dim-sum around the city anymore so we’ve done a bit of a recce and found you the following restaurants and markets to get your Sui mai fix! Just save us one, wont you?!
