8 Reasons why Queen Square is the perfect place to eat, drink and socialise this winter

There’s a whole host of brand new eateries and something for everyone at Queen Square this Winter.

Nestled right in the heart of the city centre, Queen Square has welcomed some new faces to its leisure complex in the last few weeks, so what better time to check them out than during the run up to Christmas? Try out the world cuisine on offer, book a Christmas party or even stop in for a cocktail or two after late night shopping. It’s easily accessible by buses, trains, taxis and there’s also tonnes of parking.

Here’s 8 reasons why you should leave the bustle of the city behind and relax at Queen Square this winter…

1 – Brand New venues to dine and play

Queen Square has a number of new venues to check out this winter time. Alongside their established top quality restaurants and fast food outlets you’ll soon be able to get a taste of Mexico at Savina and relax at Liverpool’s new and exclusive Sports Lounge at Genting Casino, when it opens its doors in late November.

2 – Bring the kids, it’s panto season….oh yes it is!

The perfect location for a pre or post Panto dinner, Queen Square is just a stones throw from the Royal Court, Playhouse and Empire theatres. Whether you’re the fairest of them all or an all out baddie, there’s a family dining experience for everyone.

3- Value for Money

ASK Italian

Fancy a cheeky Nandos? A romantic Italian dinner at ASK? An all you can eat Chinese or Brazilian buffet with the lads? Or how about a sticky toffee dessert and a coffee with your mum? You can do all of this and more at Queen Square as fast food and fine dining come together in one location.

4 – A Warm Welcome at Dr Duncans

A quiet pint or pre drinks with your mates, Dr Duncan’s Traditional Pub with real ales and gastro pub food is the perfect place to start your November nights out. With an open fire and cosy sitting room, the atmosphere is chilled and the service is top notch! What’s yours?

5 – Festive Winter Warmers at Costa Coffee

With the bustling Queen Square bus station gearing up to carry passengers loaded with Christmas presents this winter, why not take a load off before you board and enjoy a winter warming coffee at Costa? We highly recommend the Gingerbread and Cream latte – complete with mini gingerbread man on the top!

6 – Icy Dates at Ice Stone Gelato

Ice Stone Gelato – Liverpool’s Newest Dessert Parlour – is the latest addition to Queen Square and we have never seen so many flavours of ice cream in one place! Offering Handmade Gelato and Waffle Works made to order, this brand new eatery might just be our favourite! Try the Jam Roly Poly, you wont regret it!

7 – Christmas Parties with a twist

When it comes to Christmas Parties, Queen Square can offer up group dining and drinks like nowhere else. Get a taste of sunshine and order a huge paella at La Tasca, line your stomach with a meat feast at Copacabana or tuck into a tasty Chinese at Tso’s. Missed the meal? No worries, head to Five Guys for a belly busting burger instead!

8 – Special guests and Christmas Cheer

Queen Square is the perfect place to start your Christmas celebrations. Drop the car at QPark and take a wander over to the Liverpool Christmas Markets returning to St George’s Plateau, enjoy some panto fun, book a table for a festive feasts at any one of the Queen Square restaurants, and keep your eyes peeled for Rudolph and his friends, visiting on December 14th.
