After a sell out soft launch period Pilgrim Restaurant launch the next phase, its monthly tasting menu

The first event is to celebrate Dia de Asturias taking place at Pilgrim Restaurant on September 11.

For this event they’ll be collaborating with a few friends, Estrella Galicia, Spains oldest independent brewery who after 113 years are still family owned and Great British Chefs, the food lovers first call for recipe inspiration and restaurant knowledge.

The unique event will celebrate two incredible neighbouring regions of northern Spain by presenting a menu that follows a section of The Camino del Norte which is 322km long from Oviedo in Asturias to Santiago de Compostela in Galicia.

Ant Power of Pilgrim says “We are excited to be launching our monthly tasting menu events  in September with Dia de Asturias where we will feature a special 6-course menu that follows a 332km section of the Camino Del Norte running from from Oviedo in Asturias to Santiago de Compostela in Galicia. These monthly tasting menu events will truly show what Pilgrim is all about – following a specific path of the Camino, drawing inspiration from the diverse produce and culinary heritage found along the way. Taking our guests on a gastronomic pilgrimage in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Buen Camino!”

The six course tasting menu will aim to showcase the best of radically seasonal produce from these two regions with each dish paired with beers from Estrella Galicia. With their cool, wet climates and fertile landscapes both of these regions are famous for a wealth of incredible produce, from the blue cheese of the Picos de Europa to the pulpo of Galicia, both these regions have incredible culinary provenance.

Furthermore, on the 9th October, Pilgrim will celebrate ‘The Day of Spain’ which celebrates Christopher Colombus landing in The New World in 1492.

For Spain’s national day, Pilgrim will be hosting a special 6-course tasting menu where they raise a toast to some their favourite cities across Spain.
