Aintree’s virtual Style Award is back for 2021!

Fabulous Friday at the Randox Grand National Festival is always full of colour and style, and this year will be no different as once again The Guide Liverpool teams up with Aintree Racecourse to bring you A Grand Day In Virtual Style Award.

Following the success of 2020, the #AGrandDayIn Virtual Style Awards are back and will take place on Friday 9^th April 2021.  

The Jockey Club’s Aintree Racecourse is inviting everyone to embrace the theme of the day and get dressed up to enjoy a day at the races from the comfort of their own home. The brighter the better for the 2021 judging panel including Jay and Gemma from The Guide Liverpool, Randox representative Angharad Fitzgerald and last year’s winners, Lizzy Foulkes, a junior doctor from Liverpool and her fellow victor, Carl Hodgers. 

This year’s entrants could win an incredible £4000 donation on their behalf to a Charity of their choice, as well as a Randox health package worth £500, two tickets & hospitality at next year’s Ladies day at the Randox Grand National Festival plus £200 worth of betting vouchers for your day’s racing washed down with a bottle of Champagne. 

To enter the Style Awards all the virtual racegoers need to do is upload an image to the Aintree Racecourse Ladies Day Facebook event page, Instagram or twitter using #AGrandDayIn with their image. The competition opens for entries at 10am on Thursday 1 April and will close at midday on Friday 9 April, with the winner announced later that day.

Last year’s winner, Lizzy Foulkes said:

“It is an honour to have been asked to be a judge for the Style Awards 2021. It was so much fun last year to be able to get dressed up and feel like I was at the races even though I was just in my living room.

“I hope everyone gets involved, I really wasn’t expecting to win but it was certainly a fabulous bonus. I cannot wait to see all the entries, we will be looking for something bright and cheerful to make us all smile. Good luck to everyone.”

Fellow judge, Jay Hynd, Director of The Guide Liverpool added:

“We are delighted to be supporting Aintree Racecourse with another #AGrandDayIn on what would have been Fabulous Friday. The effort people put in last year was incredible and it was great to see so many happy faces celebrating at home and forgetting about the news for just a few hours.

“This year we expect the competition to be even bigger and as judges my colleague Gemma and I will be looking for individuality, of course, style, but most importantly one almighty smile.”
