Christmas
An Ice Skating rink is coming to Southport this Christmas
2 years ago
North West Marquee Hire and Southport TV, the team behind the hugely popular Oktoberfest in Victoria Park in October, want to carry on their German-themed experience this December.
Ice Skating Southport will be an epicentre of all things entertainment this Christmas, with ice skating for all the family (over 4 years old) in a heated Bavarian themed marquee.
Expect German food and beer, themed party nights at the weekend, DJs, singers, loads of seating and tables and much much more, so even if you don’t want to ice skate, come dine and drink and watch or see one of the many entertainers on stage.
Ice Skating starts at just £9 for under 12s, £12.50 for everyone over 12 and a family of 4 tickets is £38 (plus Skiddle booking fee).
Sessions are for 45 minutes on the ice and 15 minutes to lace up, every hour on the hour and you can ice skate from 5pm-10pm weekdays and 11am-11pm weekends. Kids helmets are offered at no charge and there are penguin skating aids available should you wish to hire one at £4.
If you want to book for a large group (10+) please email us via editor@whatsonsouthport.com and they will do their best to accommodate you with a special rate.
An Ice Skating Southport spokesperson said:
“We have some amazing German food available from one of Southport’s best chefs!
“Expect Bratwursts and large pretzels as well as some traditional food as well. We are serving a selection of German beers in 2 pint steins as well as all your usual favourites plus seasonal beverages like Mulled Wine, gingerbread hot chocolate as well as Tea & Coffee and much much more.
“Every Friday and Saturday evening (6pm-11pm) the marquee comes alive and turns into a full-on party vibe – and the best bit is its completely free entry!
“Entertainment wise we have (on rotation) ‘Disco On Ice’, ‘The Bavarian Stompers Duo’, ‘Lionel The Vinyl’ playing all your fave 80s hits and there will also be a Kingsway & Manhattans 90s dance night with Mark Pickup.
“All are free entry and if there’s a few of you coming down, don’t worry we have seating for several hundred.
“The venue is the perfect place for you to start your Christmas night out or if you want to spend the evening with us, so get dropped off at the Pleasureland roundabout and walk into our marquee.”
