As Liverpool welcomes tourists from across the globe, the city will be teaming with song, dance and, through this Liverpool ONE retailer’s doors, beauty.

From 8 – 14 May, Harvey Nichols’ Liverpool location, Beauty Bazaar, is hosting a series of weeklong celebrations to show its support to Ukraine whilst joining in on the Eurovision party.

Beauty Bazaar has teamed up with Big Help Project, an award-winning charity with a mission to overcome poverty, to support Ukrainians in need in the local area.

In the venue’s glitzy WOW Bar, expert bartenders have created a speciality cocktail for the occasion, The Ukrainian Scouser. The striking blue and yellow concoction is the perfect blend of Liverpool Gin, Chambord and Curacao Blue. Completed with a splash of gomme, a touch of lime and yellow edible florals, this tipple is as tasty as it is beautiful. Priced at £7 per cocktail, or two for £10, £2 will be donated for every purchase.

One activity found in this section of the store is the Beauty Drive, Beauty Bazaar’s twist on a traditional clothing drive. The retailer is asking both locals and tourists alike to drop off essential beauty-related items, such as soaps, shampoos, toothpaste, and feminine hygiene products, for Big Help Project to distribute to Ukrainian households who are in desperate need of these products.

Finally, Beauty Bazaar is asking every customer who makes a purchase within this week if they’d like to pop an additional £1 onto their bill which will go directly to Big Help Project to aid them in their mission to help Ukrainian’s who are struggling in the Merseyside area.

Anna Ekvist, Big Help Project’s Ukrainian engagement officer, said:

“We were thrilled when Beauty Bazaar reached out with these amazing initiatives to show its support to the people of Ukraine in the community. Eurovision is a fun and exciting time for Liverpool and it’s so nice to see businesses keeping Ukraine at the heart of the festivities.”

On top of raising money for a good cause, Beauty Bazaar will be joining in on the city-wide party that will no doubt take over Liverpool.

Throughout the week, Beauty Bazaar wants to shine a light on every country competing in Eurovision. To do this, the retailer is hosting a seven-day long game named Passport Prizes. Simply head to the store with your passport, or similar ID, and be the first person each of the 37 competing countries to collect your country’s bespoke Beauty Bazaar goodie bag.

Want to know if you’ve been beaten to the punch? Ask a team member to point you to the Consultation Area to check out the scoreboard to see how many nationalities have entered the store.

If you’re not in luck, don’t worry there’s tonnes more opportunities for a complimentary pampering throughout the week. With fabulous free offerings on Beauty Bazaar’s impressive brand counters, including NARS, Hourglass Cosmetics, Laura Mercier, Doll Beauty and much more, our team of experts will be sure that every visitor gets their beauty fix. Plus, simply share a snap on Instagram in front of the store Eurovision selfie wall for the chance to win a luxury beauty hamper.

Thursday 11 – Saturday 13 May is when the party really kicks in with Eurovision inspired DJ sets and complimentary Ukrainian themed sweet treats including doughnuts and candy floss.

The drinks will also be flowing across these days with the help of brands found within Beauty Bazaar’s Wine Shop, including complimentary sampling sessions from Della Vite and Liverpool Gin on Friday and Saturday respectively.

On top of its already extensive beauty services, visitors can also enjoy festival-style makeovers with the help of expert glitter artists, Wish Upon a Sparkle, and hair specialists, Hair Choice, for the ultimate Eurovision look. With prices starting at just £5 for children’s glitter art, getting glam can be fun for the whole family.

Finally, for beauty lovers of every skill level, visitors can spend Saturday dropping in and out of complimentary masterclasses. With brands including Tom Ford, Fenty Beauty, The Ordinary, Uoma and more, guest can learn tips and tricks covering skincare, complexion and various makeup looks to give everyone the tools needed to take their at home beauty routine to the next level.

General Manager, Fiona Lewis, said:

“We couldn’t be more excited for Eurovision to come to Liverpool, as soon as it was announced that we’d be hosting we knew that Beauty Bazaar was going to go all out! United by Beauty is such a fitting slogan for us to base our festivities around as we believe we’ve struck a fantastic balance between doing what we can to support Ukraine whilst creating a fun beauty-filled party for everyone to enjoy, plus our spa is always open for those looking to take a moment away from Eurovision madness.”
