The annual Claire House Christmas Hat Day is back 🎅🏼🎄

Taking place on Thursday, December 5, Claire House are asking local businesses, schools and community groups to wear festive hats and raise vital funds for their local children’s hospice. Every penny raised will ensure that Claire House can be here for local families this winter.

Events Fundraiser Mark Pearson said:

“Christmas Hat Day is a fun, easy way for the local community to support the hospice this Christmas. The idea was inspired by Claire Cain, who was the inspiration behind Claire House – when she was having chemotherapy, she would wear funny hats to cheer everyone up.

The former Royal Daffodil Mersey Ferry has been transformed into a new permanent waterfront restaurant. 🤩

Daffodil, a brand-new restaurant, bar and events space will officially open to the public Monday 9th December with bookings now open to experience Liverpool’s most anticipated new venue.

Following a £3.5m transformation of the former Mersey Ferry, MV Royal Daffodil, the newly named ‘Daffodil’ will be permanently moored in Canning Dock on Liverpool’s world-famous waterfront. The new destination will offer locals and visitors a unique combination of dining, entertainment and maritime heritage.

This latest venture by Liverpool entrepreneurs Philip Olivier and Joshua Boyd is set to initially create over 50 local jobs, further boosting the region’s hospitality sector.

Bookings are now open to dine on the Daffodil, the restaurant offering is located on the Main Deck of the ship and will serve modern British cuisine rooted in tradition. Guests can expect a beautiful and luxurious interior paired with exceptional food and attentive service. Opening with a special Festive Menu, Daffodil will be the perfect setting for any seasonal gatherings. With demand expected to be extremely high, people are advised to make their reservations now to be one of the first to experience this amazing venue.

Liverpool FC has launched the Founders Lounge, the club’s new flagship hospitality space at Anfield Stadium in partnership with BEYOND Hospitality, and we were fortunate enough to be able to check it out. 🤩

Arriving at Anfield three hours before kick-off, we were greeted at the Anfield Road Reception by staff, scanning our e-tickets before heading up to the lounge on the first floor.

Upon arrival, we were welcomed with champagne, followed by a luxurious five-course meal that included canapés, an amuse-bouche, starter, main, and dessert. Adding to the magic of the evening, a Liverpool FC Legend was in attendance, available to chat with guests during the meal, making it an unforgettable opportunity for any fan. The Founders Lounge offers a uniquely refined experience within a stylish, elegant space that provides exceptional views across Anfield and a vibrant atmosphere both before and during the game. The evening also included complimentary drinks, featuring a selection of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails.

The match itself was enjoyed from heated, padded seats in the newly renovated Anfield Road Stand, offering premium comfort and an excellent view. Half-time brought more refreshments, and after the final whistle, we enjoyed a beautifully presented cheese board. Guests can also remain in the lounge for a further hour post-game, soaking in the lively atmosphere with additional drinks, making The Founders Lounge an unforgettable matchday experience. 🔴🔴
