Free jazz nights available at Ma Boyle’s Alehouse and Eatery
1 year ago
Ma Boyle’s Alehouse and Eatery and Parrjazz are proud to announce the next run of Jazz Saturdays sessions at the intimate and historic hideaway.
The award-winning Ma Boyle’s captures the hearts of so many – from breakfast brunchers and liquid lunchers to its brilliant bistro food, a place where groups of friends meet, couples catch up and meetings are made. Sumptuous food is complimented by a wonderful range of drinks and irresistible cocktails.
Jazz Saturdays is all about bringing some of the region’s finest performers to Ma Boyle’s and special guests from further away. The partnership continues to introduce a vibrantly kaleidoscopic range of jazz sounds to the city, always infused with and inspired by the magic of New Orleans and Brazilian beats to the simmering back streets of Paris.
A vibrant spectrum of innovators, stars and collectives make Saturday nights their own at Ma Boyle’s, curated and programmed by Parrjazz to enrapture guests each weekend. And as always, all shows are free to attend.
Ma Boyle’s founder Iain Hoskins says:
“Now the winter is over, we’re feeling very proud to be welcoming Parrjazz Jazz Saturdays crew back to Ma Boyle’s from this weekend. Together we’ve got some very special guests who will soundtracking each Saturday in our intimate little hideaway. It’s great to continue working with Parrjazz as we are creating something special here and celebrating all things jazz.”
Scintillating jazz sounds will radiate from the Tower Gardens venue in the build up from Saturday 15 April to the grandest of all music celebrations, taking a break on Saturday May 13 for the grand final of The Eurovision Song Contest.
Parrjazz will resume the following Saturday, May 20, until May 27. Special guests include Rob Stringer, Blink Monk and Cuba Vida and as always, all shows are free to attend and booking ahead is recommended.
As the city’s longest running weekly jazz event – Jazz Saturdays has already introduced some of the region’s finest performers and special guests from further afield.
