Nothing beats a gorgeous big breakfast or brunch to set you up for the day, and they don’t come any better than at Dale Street Kitchen.
It was named number one on a list of THE best full English breakfasts in England.
Travel guide Big 7 were blown away by the brekkie at Dale Street Kitchen, calling it “one of the best presented and tastiest English breakfasts you will ever set eyes on.”
And they weren’t wrong, this is a breakfast that absolutely gets it spot on for portion size, quality and presentation.
Dale Street Kitchen & Bar by Shino, like the name says, is up on Dale Street at St George’s Hall end so it’s the perfect spot if you’re in the city centre and the business district, or heading for the theatres.
It’s also got a gorgeous outside terrace, so if the weather’s nice it’s a perfect place for a bite to eat, or just drinks or coffee – the iced coffees are especially good sitting out in the sunshine. There’s no need to book, you can just walk in and choose your table.
Breakfast is definitely one of the highlights of the all-day menu here, and it’s not all about the award-winning classic full English – although it is hard to see past that, especially when there’s the option to pair it up with a Mimosa or a Bloody Mary on the side!
DSK also gives you the chance to create your own bespoke breakfast so you pick a protein like smoked salmon, bacon, halloumi or vegan sausages; add vitamin extras like avocado, mushrooms or hash browns, and then top it all off with eggs cooked your favourite way.
If you don’t quite have the appetite to go big – go small, with smaller breakfast dishes like a cheesy breakfast wrap, smoked salmon & eggs on toast or bacon & eggs on toast.
There are freshly-made smoothies too, so you can pack in loads of fruit and veg for a healthy boost, or make it a bit of a guilty pleasure and add a shot of gin, vodka or rum.
Dale Street Kitchen is open every day from early morning for breakfast and brunch, and it has late night opening until 11pm from Wednesday to Saturday. That’s when you can try out the rest of their delicious menu including starters and platters to share, salads, mains and build-your-own burgers, along with a list of cocktails, including great summer spritzes and martinis, wines, fizz and spirits.
Owner Shino says Dale Street Kitchen’s success starts with his own passion.
“It’s no secret that my passion for culture and cultivating food has taken the city by storm, especially after being voted as England’s Best Breakfast by Big 7, and also Liverpool’s #1 breakfast venue on Tripadvisor.
“We’ve become a sought-after spot for locals and tourists to relax, enjoy our fabulous selection of carefully-crafted breakfasts and drinks, and watch the world go by on one of Liverpool’s most historical and awe-inspiring streets, Dale Street.”
