Community wellbeing event to bring people together at Wavertree Aquatics Centre

Residents in Wavertree are set to come together for a special event aimed at promoting wellbeing, tackling social isolation, and connecting people with vital local services.
Taking place at Wavertree Aquatics Centre on Wednesday, 26 March 2025, from 10am – 3pm, the event will bring together over 16 organisations, offering free support, advice, and activities to help residents live healthier, happier lives.
Attendees will have the opportunity to access a range of free services, including:
- Free blood pressure checks
- Housing advice
- Benefits support
Alongside these essential services, residents can connect with local organisations that focus on issues such as social isolation, dementia, and mental health.

The event will feature support from organisations including:
- Age Concern
- LCC Adult Services
- Primary Care Network
- House of Memories Bus
- Love Wavertree
- Riverside Housing
- And many more
In addition to the support services, the event will also include a range of engaging activities designed to bring the community together, including:
- Shared reading sessions with The Reader
- Pickleball
- Cardio tennis at Wavertree Tennis Centre
This event is a collaboration between Liverpool City Council and local organisations, all working towards the shared goal of ensuring residents have access to the support they need.
By bringing health services, community groups, and residents together, the event aims to foster connections, improve wellbeing, and reduce social isolation across Wavertree.
