Craft Beer Expo returns to the Baltic Triangle later this month

One of the UK’s leading celebrations of independent brewing is back — Craft Beer Expo returns to Black Lodge Brewery in the Baltic Triangle from Wednesday 29 to Friday 31 May, bringing three days of beer, music and street food to one of Liverpool’s most vibrant neighbourhoods.

Now in its twelfth year, the Craft Beer Expo has grown into the country’s longest-running craft beer festival, showcasing more than 30 top breweries and hundreds of unique beers from across the UK and beyond.

Paul Seiffert, co-founder of Black Lodge and curator of the Expo, said:

“We kicked this off in 2013, and it’s amazing to see how it’s grown while still keeping that friendly, down-to-earth vibe. We’ve always aimed to make the Expo feel like a proper festival—welcoming both the craft beer faithful and total newcomers. You get to meet the people behind the beer, explore all kinds of styles, and just enjoy a really good time. And if beer’s not your thing, we’ve got cider, gin, and cocktails covered too.”

The festival will feature a mix of national and international breweries, alongside some of the region’s best-loved names including Black Lodge, Neptune, and newcomer Colbier.

It’s not just about the drinks either. There’ll be a mouth-watering line-up of food traders serving everything from burgers and pizza to Mexican, Indian and Chinese street food.

Music also plays a key part in setting the festival vibe, with live sets from local artist Harry James and a full DJ programme curated by Liverpool-based Matsuri Records.
