Dia + Noche on Bold Street officially launches with VIP party tonight

Bold Street’s newest venue Dia + Noche is having its VIP launch this evening, with a celebrity guest list and the promise of a few famous faces on the decks too.

DJ Anton Powers, one of the team behind the independent café and cocktail bar, will be playing sets from 6pm and he’ll be joined by some well-known DJ mates to keep the party going.

Guests will have the chance to sample some of the healthy tapas dishes from its evening menu and house cocktails including the stunning diagonal signature black and white cocktail named in its honour.

They’ll also be able to see the venue’s transformation, with two floors of dining, drinking and events space, retaining the original bare brick walls and ornate ceilings.

Dia + Noche opened its doors just before Christmas on the site of the former Miyagi restaurant, bringing a new all-day concept to Liverpool’s favourite food lovers street.

The Spanish-influenced café combines a seasonally-changing healthy eating menu, focused on locally sourced ingredients, with fabulous signature cocktails, music and art.

In keeping with its name – which translates to day and night – breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes in the daytime make way for healthy small plate tapas and cocktails, wines and beers in the evening. There’ll be live music during the week and DJs on Friday and Saturday late nights until 2am.

Owner Alex Hannah says the VIP launch will give Dia + Noche a chance to show off its many talents.

“We’ve already had some really good feedback for all of our menus but we were so busy in the run-up to Christmas we didn’t really have chance to celebrate our opening. The launch party will give us an opportunity to do that and to give people a taster of what we’re all about because the day-to-night concept, especially what we do in the evening with our sharing tapas menu and live music, is something new for Liverpool city centre.”
