Formally Host, Papillion is one of Liverpool’s newest most Instagrammable bar/restaurants. The perfect place for small plates and people watching on an outside table on a sunny day. On the most famous road in Liverpool, The Penny Lane Wine Bar has new owners and a new look, and is now known as just The Penny Lane. The gin garden at the back is a great little sun trap on a warm day and the menu is a mix of small plates and gorgeous looking desserts like strawberry mousse, roast white chocolate, malted milk and mint. Big, messy and delicious and served with fresh rosemary salted fries this place is a burger lover’s paradise. A relative newbie to the Lane, the gorgeous looking Polidor 68 serves deli boards, both small and big plates, and they’re open for breakfast too if you fancy a full English in the sunshine.
