Everything you need to know about Southport Flower Show 2025
3 weeks ago

The sun’s out – and just in time for Southport Flower Show later this week.
Everyone’s favourite event is back with four days of fabulous flowers, food, family fun, and more.
So whether you want some inspiration for your garden, or you just want to enjoy a great day out, here’s everything you need to know.
When is Southport Flower Show?

It’s on from Thursday, August 14 to Sunday, August 17.
What times does it open?
It’s open daily from 10am until 6pm, and until 5pm on Sunday.
Where is it?

It’s the UK’s biggest independent flower show and it takes over the town’s Victoria Park – just head for the centre and you can’t miss it.
What can I see there?
There are lots of gorgeous show gardens and floral displays that have been created by garden designers and landscapers in a bid to impress the judges – and you. And another of the show’s highlights, as always, is the Grand Floral Marquee which is a treasure trove of plants and flowers, trees and shrubs, bonsai, cacti, vegetables and herbs, and you can get on-the-spot advice from the people who grew them. On all four days in The Grand Floral Marquee, popular experts Martin and Jill Fish will host The Potting Shed, getting all your gardening questions answered by experts, and looking at growing and cooking seasonal produce.
Food glorious food – it’s not just about flowers and gardens

There are loads of things to see and do for every member of the family, and food plays a massive part of that. You can take a seat in the cookery theatre where award-winning chef Brian Mellor will host other culinary experts sharing their tips while they cook live. This year a long list includes telly icon Rosemary Shrager who’ll be there on Thursday; This Morning’s Phil Vickery who you can see on Friday; Great British Bake Off winner Nancy Birtwhistle who will be there on Saturday and, also on Saturday, pastry chef Cherish Finden.
Will there be any other famous faces?
Many! Former Emmerdale actor and star of Fletchers Family Farm, Kelvin Fletcher, will be there with wife Liz in the Garden Theatre on Thursday at 12 noon and 3pm, and Love Your Garden’s David Domoney will be there on Thursday and Friday. The Wilderness Family’s Christian Lewis; popstar Toyah Willcox; Gladiator Steel – aka Zack George – and wildlife cameraman and Strictly winner Hamza Yassin are among the other celebs you’ll be able to see.
It’s home to a great shopping village

With more than 350 exhibitors at the show you’ll be able to buy a whole range of products and gifts from garden and homewares to crafts and leather goods, jewellery, and plenty of delicious food and drink.
Entertainment – and chance to relax
You’ll be able to enjoy live music throughout the festival, and there’s a packed programme of entertainment including birds of prey demonstrations from SMJ Falconry; dog displays from West Lancs Dog Display Team, and equine fun from Kay and Talent of the Horse.
New for this year is the Children’s Trail and younger members of the family can search for scarecrows, meet alpacas, try children’s yoga, improve their tennis skills, doodle, and learn about growing and gardening for themselves; and WWT Martin Mere will have exciting activities for the family.
If you fancy taking a break from the crowds, head to the Enchanted Fields Wellness zone for free taster sessions of yoga, pilates, meditation, sound healing, and more.
How much are tickets – and are they still available?
Although many VIP experience tickets are sold out you can still get a day pass from £27 (kids under 16 go free with a paying adult), and there are limited tickets left to One Night in Old Hollywood, an evening of music, magic, comedy and dancing, which costs £63 and includes a donation to Bebe’s Hive and Elsie’s Story charities.
