Five Liverpool arts projects share £20k boost from Arts & Culture Fund

Five Liverpool arts projects will receive a share of £20k worth of funding from Liverpool BID Company’s Arts & Culture Fund.
They include Leap Dance Festival, Liverpool Lighthouse, Lights Up on Liverpool, Liverpool’s Royal Court Theatre’s Youth Theatre programme and Year of the Snake at St Luke’s Bombed out Church. .
Established by Liverpool BID Company, the Arts & Culture Fund is designed to support smaller arts projects that will help drive activity and animation within Liverpool city centre. This latest round of funding for Autumn 2024 will see arts and cultural activity within the city.
The beneficiaries and successful projects include;
Leap Dance Festival in May 2025 with dancing in the street and activity in Metquarter.
Liverpool Lighthouse – A Gospel Christmas at St George’s Hall.
Lights Up on Liverpool from Arts Groupie with street theatre across eight days in the city to support an exhibition at Liverpool Central Library.
Year of the Snake, Chinese New Year Celebrations at St Luke’s Bombed out Church in 2025
Liverpool’s Royal Court Theatre’s Youth Theatre programme, supporting 11-13 year olds for 10 months.

Our arts and culture sector is such a vibrant aspect of life in this city and we see that it brings a great benefit, not just to participants and audiences, but the wider city economy.”
