Jamie Webster album launch at The Jacaranda Baltic 

This could be your chance to celebrate the launch of Jamie Webster’s new album, 10 For The People, with the man himself.  He’ll be at the new Jacaranda Baltic on Friday, February 2, for a launch party when there’ll be an interview and Q&A with Jamie and an intimate performance from the Liverpool star as well as comedian Adam Rowe. Tickets are sold out, but organisers have got a wating list – so you never know…

Blood Brothers at the Floral Pavilion

Willy Russell’s legendary musical about the Johnstone twins just gets better and better. In this production, Sean Jones and Joe Sleight star as twin siblings Mickey and Eddie who are separated at birth, with Niki Colwell Evans as Mrs Johnstone and Sarah Jane Buckley as Mrs Lyons. Comedy and drama have never been better bedfellows, and songs like Marilyn Monroe and the hugely emotional Tell Me It’s Not True will have you reaching for the tissues. On from Tuesday, February 6 to Saturday, February 10.

Valentine’s Day 

Roses are red, violets are blue, there’s lots of romantic stuff in the city for you – and you can find it all in our Ultimate Guide to Valentine’s Day in Liverpool. Lunar New Year

Taking place from Friday to Sunday, February 9-11, for the first time the Lunar New Year activities won’t just take over the Chinatown area, they’ll also bring a festival of colour and sound to the Bombed Out Church (St Luke’s), Liverpool ONE and the Royal Albert Dock. Highlights include the usual traditional dragon, lion and unicorn parades and firecracker displays, alongside captivating stories, music, and street theatre.

Haunted Scouse at the Royal Court

Michael Starke stars in a brand new comedy about love, life and the afterlife, at the Royal Court from Friday, February 9 to Saturday, March 9. Charlie Moon is sadly missed and his widow, Molly, feels guilty about how he passed and wants to make things right … so when his ghost appears on the anniversary of his death, she has her chance.

The Liverpool Wedding Show 

The Liverpool Wedding Show is being held at the city’s Exhibition Centre on Saturday and Sunday, February 10-11 – and it’s set to be the largest wedding show in the whole of the region with more than 70 leading suppliers from across the wedding world. There’ll be everything you need to create your perfect day, from flowers and stationery to cars and cakes, dresses, food, accessories, and more, as well as the chance to give yourself a great day out with VIP treats.

Jurassic Take-Over Day 

You can have an awesome day at the M&S Bank Arena on Saturday, February 10, with a unique interactive dinosaur adventure. In the 60-minute show you’ll meet state-of-the-art animatronic life-like dinosaurs and talk to a Triceratops, roar with a T-Rex, scream with a Spinosaurus and run from a Raptor!

The Wizard of Oz at St Helens Theatre Royal

In the first of four pantos at the St Helens theatre you can join Dorothy and her trusted dog Toto on their epic adventure along the yellow brick road to the Emerald City, along with Scarecrow, The Tin Man and Lion who they meet on the way. Magic and memories are guaranteed in this fab classic, on all half term week from Saturday, February 10 to Sunday, February 18.

Wonka screening at the Philharmonic

Chance to see the incredible new film starring Timothée Chalamet, Rowan Atkinson, Olivia Coleman, and Hugh Grant in the wonderful setting of the Phil on Sunday, February 11. Based on the extraordinary character from Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Wonka tells the story of how the world’s greatest inventor, magician and chocolate-maker became the best-loved Willy Wonka we know today.

The Tiger Who Came to Tea at the Playhouse

Great chance for families to see the fab West End production of Judith Kerr’s classic tale as it tours the UK, stopping off at the Playhouse from Monday, February 12 to Saturday, February 17. When the doorbell rings just as Sophie and her mummy are sitting down to tea, they wonder who it could be. They’re certainly not expecting to see a big, stripy tiger…

Shrek The Musical at Liverpool Empire Theatre

Get ready to leave your troubles Far Far Away and enjoy lots of laughs and a little bit of love with this huge musical production. Shrek and Donkey set out on a quest to defeat the fearsome dragon and rescue the beautiful Princess Fiona in this toe-tapping production which features songs like I’m A Believer, Big Bright Beautiful World, and ‘I Know It’s Today’. Strictly star Joanne Clifton has been wowing audiences as Princess Fiona, and James Gillan is the best of baddies as the devilish Lord Farquaard. It’s on at the Empire from Monday, February 12 to Saturday, February 17, and ‘that’ll do Donkey, that’ll do’!

The Harlem Globetrotters 

As the Harlem Globetrotters near their 100^th anniversary, its stars are back for a fab 2024 world tour bringing out their amazing basketball skills and athleticism and promising you a ‘non-stop LOL good time’. On Wednesday, February 21, the Globetrotters will be going head-to-head against the Washington Generals who’ll stop at nothing to try and defeat them.

Top figures from the world of jazz will be joining local artists at the Liverpool International Jazz Festival. It’s on at Liverpool Hope University’s Capstone Theatre from Thursday, February 22 to Sunday, February 25, and you can look forward to listening to the likes of Tommy Smith & Gwilym Simcock, David Helbock’s Austrian Syndicate, Attuned Quartet, Yolanda Charles Project pH Instra-mentals and Denys Baptiste: Late Trane.

Spice Girls Exhibition launches at the BME

Girl power is back! The Spice Girls at 30 launches at the British Music Experience from Wednesday, February 7, charting the history of the most important girl band in British history. The seven-month exhibition tells the band’s story through outfits from the extraordinary collection of independent curator Liz West, who’s the foremost collector of Spice Girls memorabilia and merchandise in the World.

Watch the Six Nations across Liverpool 

Rugby union’s biggest tournament has arrived with the start, this Friday – February 2 – of The Six Nations Championship. Everyone loves to watch the annual competition between England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland, and Wales – and this year’s going to be a biggie after Ireland won the Grand Slam last year. There are plenty of games to watch between now and March 16, and you can catch every one of them at pubs and bars across Liverpool.

We all love a bit of safari action at Knowsley, whether it’s the five-mile safari drive to track down the amazing wild animals from camels and white rhino to baboons and African lions, the walking trails through woodlands and tiger enclosures, the rides and amusements for every age, or the play areas and awe-inspiring animal displays. And throughout February, kids can go free with each paying adult!
